First off, the picture above is Johnny Depp in his role as the Mad Hatter. How awesome!
I got the picture from the Daily Mail and to read a bit more about filming, go here!
Also, according to imdb.com, the Caterpillar will be played by Alan Rickman (Harry Potter, Sweeney Todd). I’m really quite excited about this.
What are your thoughts? Who else is excited for this film? (Too bad it’s not coming out until like 2010…I don’t think…)
NEW IDEA:
Okay, instead of posting a new post about this, I figured I’d include it right here. I had this idea and wanted to see if anyone would be interested in the posts. I was thinking of reviewing movies that have actors and actresses are popular now or getting there…these movies, however, won’t be their big ones, but ones they did before they got big or even little side projects they are doing now. What do you think? Any ideas on what to call this? I was thinking “YKT” or “You Know Them…”
That sounds like a great idea! And I’m totally excited for this movie.
Emily: Thanks, I’m glad you think so! I thought it would be fun to do.
And me too!!! I wish it was out sooner, but I’m loving the cast. 🙂
-Lauren
I really like the idea. It will be fun to hear about lesser-known movies featuring famous stars.
I’m also very excited about Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp looks great as the Mad Hatter.
ALAN RICKMAN?! That is amazing. Who doesn’t love Alan Rickman? He’ll make a fine caterpillar.
Sounds like a good idea, too.
OMG at that picture! I like your idea, go for it!
towerofbooks: That’s what I figured…some bigger actors have a lot of little movies that nobody really realize they are in and whatnot.
I agree! Johnny will be awesome.
Khyrinthia: I love Alan Rickman!! I’m stoked he’s in the film!!!
And thanks, I think I might go ahead and try it a few times..see what people think.
Alea: Aw, thanks, I will! 🙂 And I KNOW, right? It’s crazy…but I still think he looks good! He makes EVERYTHING work…to me at least. lol
Hey, I’m all for the obscure. 😀 Please do.
And Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter…I wipes me drool offa mah keyboards. Incidentally, any last word on whether or not Depp will be playing The Riddler in the third Batman movie?
(and, yes, I’ve relocated to Blogger, so I can keep up with you guys much better)
Hey Hayden: Nice to see you on Blogger!
And glad you like the idea. I hope to have the first one up today or over the weekend sometime…depending on when I get time to work on it!
I completely agree about Johnny as the Mad Hatter. 🙂
I’ll look into Batman. I’m not sure!
-Lauren
I love all Tim Burton films and I’ll definitely need to see this one! It looks really good.
Hillary: I think so as well, and I like quite a few Tim Burton movies. It never hurts that him and Depp work together a lot. LOL Actually, he works with a few people I really like a bit…Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman for instance.
-Lauren
I like the new idea.
And you have NOOOOOO IDEA how INSANELY psyched I am for Alice in Wonderland. 🙂
Erin: Oh, I’m pretty pumped myself! Why isn’t it coming out NOWWW?
-Lauren
OMG. The caterpillar is my favorite – I can’t wait to see Alan Rickman as him. I’m going to literally laugh my ass off. Ha.
Anyway, love Johnny Depp in that picture. He looks so much like the Mad Hatter. Weird.
Eee! So excited for this movie. Bummer on the 2010 thing, though.
Chelsea: have you read the actual book? Or do you mean the caterpillar from the movies? I’m stoked about Alan Rickman being in it as well!
I love Johnny in the photo too.
Everything seems to be coming out so late! It’s a bummer.
-Lauren
I can’t wait for that movie!
Jessica: I’m with ya!
