August 2018 Currently…

It’s time for the August Currently with Anne from In Residence. Feel free to answer any of these in the comments, or let me know if you have your own Currently post for the month. I’d love to check it out!

It's August and Here is What I'm Currently Doing...#currently #ontheblog Click To Tweet

Following: I’m following the Twitter hashtag #bookishwish where you can share the books you’re hoping to add to your collection (review copy, finished copy, special edition, etc.) and if people have a copy of the book – or are just so inclined – they can tweet you back and offer it. I shared that I really wanted the ARC for Escaping From Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco because I have the first two as ARCs AND finished copies and someone offered to send it to me. How generous, right? If you have a #bookishwish or want to fulfill one, check it out. And follow me on Twitter!

Ordering: My sister recently got Amazon Prime, so on Prime Day, I got the Harry Potter 8-movie pack on Blu-ray for a little less than $30! This normally goes for about $100, so it was an amazing deal. Plus, I now own all the HP movies on Blu-ray.

Pinning: Not a whole lot at the moment, but I am always looking for more things to save to my Blogging/Social Media board. Follow me?

Watching: I don’t watch a lot of TV during the summer, but I’m always happy to see a new Dateline on TV and I’ve been enjoying America’s Got Talent! As for the movies, I saw Mama Mia: Here We Go Again! and I thought it was really fun. I’m excited for two movies coming out this Friday: Christopher Robin and The Spy Who Dumped Me. *Fingers crossed* I can see those soon.

Counting: The number of years I’ve been blogging. Yes, it’s finally the month of August and that means it’s been 11 years since I first started blogging. It’s crazy to think, but I’ve loved this blogging journey and I hope many more years are ahead of me. I will have a giveaway (or two) and some other fun blogoversary themed posts, so stick around!

  1. I haven’t been watching all that much either – summer is better for reading, I say! But I am excited for the Crazy Rich Asians movie. Even better since it’s book-related 🙂 And this hashtag is so fun to know about – I’m going to check it out now!

  2. I can’t wait to see Christopher Robin. Every time I watch the preview I get pretty emotional though so I think I’m going to need to bring Kleenex!! I’ve seen a little bit of America’s Got Talent this summer too. It’s always fun to watch!

  3. I’m having a hard time getting into anything this summer. I’m basically a slug lol

I’m still kicking myself for not picking up that book for you at ALA. I kept looking at it and thinking I knew someone who wanted it but couldn’t remember lol

  4. Great deal on the HP movie set! I haven’t seen Mama Mia! yet. As much as I loved the first one, I find that I’m just not that excited about this one. I *AM* excited about Christopher Robin, though. I adore Pooh Bear! 🙂 Me, my husband, my mom, my sister, and my niece are all going to see it together on Sunday. Can’t wait!

  5. That sounds like a fun hashtag! I want to see Christopher Robin too. I got the Harry Potter box set back in December, it was a great deal when I got it too!

  6. This #bookishwish is such a great initiative, I love following it around and seeing people’s wishes coming true, it warms my heart 🙂
I can’t believe you’ve been blogging for so long this month, it is incredible! <3 I hope you'll have a fantastic August! <3

  7. What a deal on the HP!!! That is awesome! I didn’t grab anything on Prime Day. The one thing I had in my cart I forgot to checkout on and missed it. The bookishwish sounds fun! I will have to check it out.

I was going to say I will have to look that hashtag up but I don’t have Twitter… maybe on IG though? Wow! 11 years of blogging?! That’s awesome!!!

  9. :O!! What what–I’m definitely gonna have to check out that #bookishwish hashtag! I have some books I’ve been wanting to read (and a few I’ve been meaning to gift somewhere).

Yay for Amazon Prime! I’m glad you found such an awesome deal!

I can’t believe you’ve been blogging for 11 years! Thats awesome. I’m only a few months in and am still trying to figure out how everything works and a good consistent schedule for myself. Also, great job on the HP books. I just read all of those last winter and now I can’t stand the movies!

  11. Ahhhhh HP for less than 30 bucks AND it’s all 8 of the movies? That is one heck of a good deal.

I saw #bookishwish floating around, but chose not to participate due to financial concerns. I’m sure I have books people would love to have but at the same time I don’t think I can afford shipping either. Hopefully it’ll still be around when I move to another place so I CAN give the books I don’t want a good home!

Yay for your sister getting Amazon Prime, I’m SO addicted to it lol, and for you scoring such an amazing deal on Prime Day! YAY you!! I got the boys Britax Car-seats half off, so I was a pretty happy camper on Prime Day too. 🙂 And congratulations on 11 years of blogging, that’s huge!!
