May 2017: Currently

Posted May 3, 2017 by shooting in Uncategorized / 32 Comments

I’m linking up with Anne at In Residence today for the May 2017 edition of Currently. Feel free to share what you are currently doing in the comments!

Baking:

Honestly, with the strict diet I’m on, I’m not baking anything. I am cooking some things but nothing too exciting – mainly just pork chops because they are quick and easy!

Listening (To):

I’m listening to a lot of music on my iPod lately, and that’s mostly Mayday Parade (in preparation for the concert last week), Years and Years (I adore this band!), and Lea Michele (her first album – her second just came out and I need it ASAP!).

Loving:

That it’s my birthday month. My actual birthday is May 30th, so not until the very end of the month, but I’m sure I’ll celebrate a bit all month long. It’s always a good excuse to see friends! Oh, and in case you’re wondering – I’m turning 27!

I'm currently loving, listening, and remembering this May 2017- come share your currents! Click To Tweet

Planting:

Nothing at the moment but my mom and I made seed bombs about a month ago at a library event so we’re going to hopefully get those in the garden soon.

Remembering:

My time in London. I went this past September and I seriously miss it already. It was so much fun. I really hope to go back again in the future sometime, though I know my mom really wants to visit Ireland in the next four-five years so we’ll be planning/saving for that one! Speaking of London though  – I know I never did any posts on it, and I’m sorry about that, but it is in the works! It’ll be a new blog series of sorts and I’ll share reviews and thoughts about all the various things I did, saw, ate, and generally enjoyed. Hopefully this will be of interest for you all!!

  1. Yay for your birthday month! I understand having a birthday at the end of the month, but I still celebrate all month. I kind of have to, to a point. My birthday is new years eve. Everyone wants to celebrate on my birthday, but not me exactly. You must run into the same situation with memorial day and summer mode. So a month long birthday is in order! Enjoy!

  2. If you get a chance to go to Ireland, definitely do! It’s one of my favorite places ever (and I’ve traveled a fair amount). We were in Dublin and Galway and I fell in love with both!

  3. Enjoy your birthday month! I’ve only ever been to London a couple of times as a child and as I live In the UK I should really have visited it more! I have a trip planned there for his winter and I’m really looking forward to it ?

  7. I have been wanting to bake more, but I don’t know what I want to bake lol. I love my iPod. I’ve been listening to a lot of songs by Nelly Furtado. Happy early birthday! I hope you have a great birthday month!

  8. I would love to visit Ireland as well Lauren, my mother was born there and would be lovely to explore. Oooooh 27! Happy pre birthday! 27 is such a wonderful age, I remember saving for our new house and looking as display homes. It’s that age where adulting seems to really kick in.

  9. How fun that your b-day always falls on Memorial Day weekend. Or around it? 3-day weekend for extra bday celebrations!

  10. Oooohh I love currently’s!! When I was bored in class, when I was in high school, I would look around the class room and document exactly what all my classmates were doing. I called it the 9A chronicles, lol. I still have them, in my parent’s house.
