Official Summary: Following the grief and horror of her discovery of Jack the Ripper’s true identity, Audrey Rose Wadsworth has no choice but to flee London and its memories. Together with the arrogant yet charming Thomas Cresswell, she journeys to the dark heart of Romania, home to one of Europe’s best schools of forensic medicine…and to another notorious killer, Vlad the Impaler, whose thirst for blood became legend.
But her life’s dream is soon tainted by blood-soaked discoveries in the halls of the school’s forbidding castle, and Audrey Rose is compelled to investigate the strangely familiar murders. What she finds brings all her terrifying fears to life once again.
Review (add on Goodreads): Oh, how I loved Stalking Jack the Ripper. I was so excited to attend ALA this past June and get a copy of Hunting Prince Dracula. If you enjoyed the first book at all, then I think you’ll really like this one. Audrey Rose Wadsworth and Thomas Cresswell head to Romania to attend a school for forensic medicine. Besides these two amazing characters, readers meet a collection of new ones that just add to the mystery and intrigue of the book. After all, someone is killing people and many believe it’s Vlad the Impaler, better known as Dracula, risen from the grave. Despite not believing in vampires, Audrey has a tough time in this book, after everything that occurred in Stalking Jack the Ripper. She’s seeing corpses move and the face of Jack the Ripper in innocent men. Thomas is worried about her, but he doesn’t always do what is best for her, though he’s desperately trying. I felt for Thomas in this one, as he’s dealing with a lot in Hunting, while at the same time trying to protect Audrey because he cares for her, not because he thinks she’s too weak to help herself.
As for the actual mystery of those being murdered, and emptied of their blood, I found myself having no clue who was behind everything. It could have easily been a group, an outsider, or someone in the school. It was always difficult to tell as more and more people started being harmed or acting suspicious. In the end, I was certainly shocked by the reveal! I’m curious if anyone guessed the outcome, as I do think it was quite clever, but you never know! At any rate, I don’t think it’s an easy guess and those are always exciting. Hunting Prince Dracula is a fairly quick-paced novel. It’s full of mystery and excitement, and it’s lead by the always lovely Audrey and Thomas. I just love the bickering between these two. It adds a lot of humor and light heartedness to what could otherwise be a very serious novel.
If you haven’t read Stalking Jack the Ripper, I do suggest you check it out! I loved both of these and I’m eagerly awaiting the third!
Hunting Prince Dracula is a superb sequel! #bookreview #ontheblog Share on XGiveaway!!
I’ve decided to try something new with some of my blog giveaways. I’m going to choose a book and then also give away either some items that make me think of the book or some of what I think the character’s favorite things would be! While Kerri was awesome to let me know what both Audrey and Thomas love – scalpels is one, of course – I couldn’t quite fine their favorite things, so I went with things that suit the book! Hope you won’t mind!

For What It’s Worth
I have heard so many incredibly things about the first book in the series that I really need to read it! I’ve only read one historical mystery/thriller, but I absolutely adored it so I think they might be stories that I really enjoy.
I love books that keep you guessing the culprit! For some reason I almost always guess what happened in mystery/thriller books so it’s always exciting to not have the end in your mind straight away.
Your giveaway is awesome 😀 I have entered, just for the book because you kindly made that part international!
Lovely review ^.^
