Love in the Time of Serial Killers by Alicia Thompson

personal copy; all opinions are my own (purchase link is affiliate link)

Phoebe is back in her hometown to clean up her dad’s house after he passes and hopefully sell it, so she can get back to her regular life. Of course, things don’t go as planned. Phoebe is obsessed with true crime and is even doing her dissertation on it. So when she meets her new neighbor, she’s immediately suspicious.

I loved this book. I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews, so I know it’s not going to be for everyone. Phoebe is sure to drive you nuts sometimes, but overall, I think she grew a lot and I appreciated that. I adored her true crime obsession and all the random facts and tidbits thrown into the book. Her neighbor, and eventual crush, Sam is such a good guy. I just adored him. I also really liked Phoebe’s brother, Connor, and their relationship.
