FebruHARRY: A Month of All Things Harry Potter

Posted January 10, 2018 by shooting in Discussion / 42 Comments

First off, if you search the hashtag #februharry on Twitter, you’ll probably find a lot of posts from last year concerning Harry Style’s birthday. Oh well, we’re taking it back, Harry Potter fans!

Through all of February, I’m going to celebrate FebruHARRY since I absolutely adore Harry Potter and why not? Last year there seemed to be so many fun HP themed events around where I live, and I wasn’t able to go to a lot of them, so this year I’m going to try and stay on it. It’s the Year of Harry Potter, everyone. How about you join me?

Let's Talk Harry Potter all Month Long in #FebruHARRY2018: Are you a Harry Potter fan? Come share! Click To Tweet

I’d love for more of you to take part in my FebruHARRY month so it’s not just me spouting my eternal love and devotion to Harry and company. If you want to post on social media, use the hashtag: #februharry2018 (let’s see if this helps differentiate us from all those Harry Styles fans). If you want to post something on your blog, please do! It can be any type of post – review, discussion, giveaway, fangirling! I’ll share a linky at the beginning of the month so you have a place to share all your posts so everyone can hop around, find new blogs, and generally enjoy talking about Harry Potter.

I’m hoping to have a few giveaways throughout the month. There will definitely be one on the blog, but probably a Twitter only and Instagram only one too. If you don’t already follow me, please do! If you leave your username/link in the comments below, I will happily follow you back.

Feel free to take the image above and share it on your blog or social media sites – just remember to link back to my blog and/or this post so everyone can get full details on the month of all things Harry Potter.

So tell me – are you going to join in? Are you a Harry Potter fan, or are the books still on your must-read list?

Totally adore Harry Potter and I have all the memorabilia books and DVD’s to prove it.(lol) Am I the only one who wants just 1 more movie? I think not, and sending shouts out to JK Rowling to hear our cries. (lol) Thanks for such a cool post! Hugs…RO

  3. This is so fun! I do love Harry, I have seen all the movies, but only read the first few books if you can believe that! This might motivate me to get back into reading them!

  4. Don’t kill me… but I’ve never read a single Harry Potter book. I KNOW! LOL, what a fun hashtag and idea. I love this idea 🙂 and thank you for reminding me about this series.

Haha this is cute! I just binge watched the series again recently and there were a couple cute Harry Potter trivia night around me recently. I’m bummed I missed the trivia night because of scheduling conflicts but I might have to add a free posts to your #februharry2018 on social media ?

  6. This is amazing! Currently re-reading all of the Harry Potter books and omg, so good!! I’m so happy about this #Februharry situation, so I’ll definitely take to take part!

Haha, Harry Styles avoidance is good! This sounds fun 🙂 I will try and join in, and definitely watch all of the happenings over here.

  8. Harry Potter remains one of my most favourite series. I’ve re-read them a few times and have been thinking about doing it again. You just gave me the perfect excuse!

  9. What a fun event! I enjoyed HP when I read the series years ago but I don’t feel about it the way of a certain age do. I think I was already 30 when the first book came out so I read the entire series as an adult. I think it’s different for those who read the series as kids. It makes it more magical, it’s nostalgic, and it’s part of their childhood. I don’t have those same feelings attached to books. While I enjoyed the books (and the movies) very much, they were just a very good series I read. They’ll never have that same feeling for me than for those ho read the books as kids.

  10. I was hoping to rewatch the films for Harry Potter book month. Usually I reread the books but hoping to mix it up a little this year. I plan on reading Fantastic Beasts as well, I can’t believe I haven’t read it yet! I’m a pure Gryffindor and looking forward to connecting with other Potter fans, the perfect excuse! <3
