Official Summary: $29.99 personalized book
There’s only one rule in Larry’s book–don’t push the button. (Seriously, don’t even think about it!)
Even if it does look kinda nice, you must never press the button. Who knows what would happen?
Okay, quick. No one is looking… press the button.
Uh, oh.
Larry is a lovable monster, if a bit too curious for his own good. And now, you can join in on his fun adventure!
In the personalized version of this interactive story, your child will discover all the surprises around that big red button. Read, play, and laugh along while your little one investigates just how BIG one little push can be!
Review: I love Put Me in the Story’s personalized books for children. I have loved to read since I was little, so I like to give books as gifts to all the little ones in my life! I often personalize a book for my niece or nephew when I’m offered a review book, but this time, I went with a high school friend’s little boy since he turns one really soon! She’s a big reader, so I know she will really appreciate the thought, plus the book is so cute and makes a nice book to read aloud! I want to note that if you wish to make a personalized book for Easter, you must order by March 14 so get on it!
As for Don’t Push the Button, the name of the recipient goes right on the cover, as well as on the inside pages. It’s a part of the title: Don’t Push the Button, Freddie (the name of my friend’s little one). Then of course the name is repeated throughout the book, which is another reason I love these titles for reading aloud. The little kid in your life is sure to enjoy hearing their name! Also, you get to choose one photo of the recipient and this is placed in the beginning of the book. The picture will sit inside the circle of the button, so that it’s obviously their button. Really cute idea!
The actual story is cute, if you don’t know it already. It’s about a button and how you should not, definitely not, push it. Of course, the button is pushed and fun, crazy things happen to the little monster, Larry.

I like that this book can grow with your child. A real little one can have it read to them and enjoy hearing their name. As they get a bit older, they can actually “push” the button in the book. And then of course they can eventually read the book themselves! The illustrations are cute and colorful and overall, I found it a really charming story. It’s just fun, and the fact that you can personalize the book is just a really great, extra bonus!
This definitely sounds like one of the better personalised books – my children had some when they were little and always got a buzz out of them – not so much when the Little Monsters series bought out a book called Bossy Bethany – she was not pleased at all!
I want to push the red button!
Is it sad that I can totally relate to this book? I mean, I'm technically an adult, but when I spot buttons I literally have to coach myself not. to. push. them. 😛
xx
I love gifting personalized books but I haven't seen this one before. It looks so adorable and fun. I'm thinking my niece would love this one. 🙂
Now all I can think of is pushing that button. Kids are going to love this one. We all have that urge to push those "DON'T PUSH" things on the walls of buildings, don't we?
I have an aunt who always use to give us books growing up, some of my absolute favorites were from her so good on you for doing this!
Oh my goodness whilst I have of course come across these personalised books I don't think I've ever come across one where the child's name is on the cover.
I think this sounds like so much fun!
I love the idea of personalized books and I can imagine it makes a great gift for especially kids. That's fun his picture is in the book and the name is there multiple times in the book. It sounds like a fun and cute book and the personalization adds something extra to the book.
What a great idea, I think this is really cute! I would think the personalization adds another aspect of the book for the child.
We have this book not personalized and love it!! So cute. We do have a lot of the personalized books from this website though and really enjoy them!
This book sounds so cute!
Cute story. Looks delightful.
Sounds cute, and I would have to press it
This sounds so adorable. I too like to read children's books like these and give them to the little ones in my life, especially the kids I babysit <3
I remember you sharing a review on a personalized book not too long ago! I agree, this is a fantastic idea! I love books that you can carry with you throughout the years, like The Giving Tree and Love You Forever 🙂
What an adorable book! I love that it is personalized and of course not pressing the button would be a hoot to read with my children and watch their reactions!
Oh my boy would just love this book! So pricey though. 🙁
:D:D You are such a thoughtful friend, Lauren! This is just such a great gift idea, I think I might have to steal it at some point for gifting to some of the little ones in my life…
These personalized books have become all the rage in France and Switzerland lately, my Facebook feed has been filled with them 🙂
If my own children were younger, I'd get one for them 🙂

This looks like a cute read! Good to see that it will grow with the child.
Awh, it looks super cute, and love that you can get it personalised to your child, something special.
