I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas already! I have pretty much all my gifts; I just need to get wrapping so it’s not all last minute. I’ve been enjoying the month of December thus far though. I’ve had pretty nice weather and I only have one more test to take before I’m finished with graduate school. I actually graduate this coming Friday (the 18th) which feels a bit surreal, I have to admit. I’ve been working at an academic library in a graduate assistant position, so my last day for that was this past Friday which was sad. I really enjoyed it and now I just have my public library job – so I’m on the look out for something else!
Besides that, there hasn’t been much new. The cookie exchange party last Sunday went well and I got to eat lots of yummy treats. Mmm-mmm! I do recommend this for a holiday party idea. You get lots of cookies without having to make them all, so what could be better, right?
Does anyone else host or attend any holiday parties this time of the year? Feel free to share!

So exciting that you will be graduating, huge congrats!!!
I can't wait until it's my time to graduate, Lauren! Congrats on arriving to the end of your academic path.
I don't really feel like Christmas, either… We have decorated the house, but I haven't bought any presents at all. It's too warm out, so not like December at all.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Before we moved all of the country, we use to do cookie exchanges and I loved it. Congrats on graduating! I still need to wrap gifts myself and will begin next weekend.
Congratulations on your graduation. Such a way to end the year. I'm nearly done my presents and wrapping will be last minute. Ha. It's great to be back around d the blogosphere. 🙂 happy Subday!

Congratulations on your milestone, Lauren, that is awesome.
I still need to buy a few gifts and enjoy a little bit more this Christmas, I've been working non stop and haven't feel all the excitement I usually do.

All the holiday parties are making it feel like Christmas for me!
Congrats on graduating!!! Very exciting. I have to wrap everything still. It overwhelms me becasue I don't know when to do it so the kids don't see! I love the holiday parties around this time. I really need to try a cookie exchange. Have a great week!!
Congrats. I don't have a Christmas party and since Mr Wonderful's company quit doing a party, I don't go to any either. Sounds like you are all set for the holidays.

I still have not tackled wrapping gifts either, Lauren. But goodness me! You finished graduate school! Congratulations! What a huge milestone! You'll have to share pictures of your ceremony with us – that is if you're comfortable doing so of course 😉
So happy to hear that December has been blissful thus far 🙂
Good luck with your graduation! Looks like a big 2016 for you with your new job!
We've been busy catching up with friends too… looking forward to my trip away!
