One of my friends and I fell in love with Taylor Tomlinson when we did a Netflix Party to watch her stand-up special, Quarter-Life Crisis. She has another Netflix special up now that I still need to watch. But if you plan on seeing her live, don’t worry – the newest special and her current tour contain different material!
At any rate, my friend and I were very excited to finally see Taylor live. She had one opening act, who I absolutely loved. That person was Dustin Nickerson who I actually didn’t know before the show but he was just hilarious. I don’t always love the beginning comedians, to be honest, but he was someone I would watch live on his own. After his set, he introduced Taylor.
I will say that I think I related less to her content at the show than I did when watching Quarter-Life Crisis, so that might be why I didn’t find it as funny. She’s still a really fun person to watch on stage though, so it was a very enjoyable show regardless.
She did have various jokes about anxiety and being single with a lot of married friends, and uhhh…same, girl!
It was a fun show, and I definitely laughed the whole time! She’s someone I’d see live again too as I think she has a great stage persona.
Sounds like fun!
So fun! Seeing people we love perform live really is the best!
Sounds like such a fun show! Pre-Covid we used to love going to the local comedy club.
Glad you enjoyed the live show, even if it didn’t hit the mark the same way Quarter Life Crisis did. It’s still fun to get out and see live comedy and there were still plenty of jokes which did work. I need to see more live comedy, the last show I saw was good but was just a small comedy club.
This sounds like such a fun show. And yay for actually being able to attend live entertainment events. I think that’s what I missed most during Covid.
I LOVE her!! That is so cool that you got to see her live!
