I’m linking up with The Blended Blog today to answer their April-Spring questions. Feel free to join us by answering the same questions on your own blog and linking up! You can always answer some of these questions in the comments too!
TBB Asks: It's time for all things Spring! What do you love? #ontheblog Share on X1. What 3 colors remind you most of Spring?
Probably purple, green, and yellow.
2. What is the first thing youβd add to your wardrobe in Spring?
A dress! I’m so ready to break out my dresses.
3. What is the first wardrobe item you ditch in Spring?
A heavy jacket! I’m ready for just a sweater, if I need anything.
4. Who mows the grass where you live?
I still live at home, so it’s usually my dad.
5. Whatβs Spring like where you live?
It’s usually pretty rainy, so it’s kind of a mix on how nice it actually is to be outside. While it might be warmer, it’s probably wet.
6. Whatβs your favorite thing about Spring?
My birthday is in the spring! Plus, if it’s not raining, then it’s usually a pretty nice temperature out.
7. Are you a Spring Cleaner?
Not really…I do like to go through clothes and other items and get rid of what I can though!
8. Are you a Baseball Fan?
I find baseball to be really boring, but my family enjoys it, so we’ll probably end up going to one game this year (Cincinnati Reds)
9. Tulips or Daffodils?
Hmm…not sure I’ve ever thought about it! I’m going with daffodil because they are just too cute!
10. Favorite Outdoor Spring Activity?
Does reading outside on my front porch count? No? Who says?
Okay okay…I don’t really do anything too active outside, so if it can just be something fun, I’d say checking out all the outdoor events that go on in and around Cincinnati (Maifest, Italian Fest, NKY Pride, etc.)
11. Flowers in the Ground or in Pots?
We tend to just have them in the ground, but they don’t like to stay alive in my yard! We had some good 4 o’clock ones last year though.
12. Favorite Bird?Β
I’m going with Cardinal.
13. Car Wash or Wash Vehicles at Home?
We used to wash the cars at home back in the day, but we tend to just use the car wash nowadays. I don’t have my own car, so this is me speaking on behalf of my family.
14. When Do You pull out Your sandals?
Probably as soon as I can. I don’t have a ton of sandals or flip flops, but they are nice to break out once my feet won’t freeze!
What a fun link up! I love the questions and the Cardinal is my favorite bird as well. Such a beautiful bird to see in the often drab winter months.
Oooh advanced happy birthday, Lauren! β₯ Sadly we don’t have spring where I live, but I can imagine all the beautiful flowers, and the freedom from winter!
Thanks for linking up! Also would totally count reading on the porch- can’t wait to be able to do that!
Happy birthday season! We shared similar answers to some of these questions. π I say reading on your porch absolutely counts! I can’t wait to do the same! Hope you have a beautiful spring!
Cute idea and good way to keep a seasonal journal.
Purple and yellow remind me of spring too! And I love cardinals, they always remind me of winter and spring π
I wish it was spring here! It snowed yesterday!
Hahaht this was definitely fun. As a California girl my answers to the sandals question is that they never get put away XD Happy Spring!
I am ready for all the spring dresses, it makes things so much easier! And I find baseball super boring as well.
I’m ready for just a sweater when I go out too, I’m totally done with coats! And I want to wear sandals! The weather is just not cooperating by me darn it! LOL
I love when I can stop wearing a jacket, or coat of any sort. I probably get most excited to stop wearing regular jeans and maybe start wearing capris. Fun post!
We are getting ready to take a trip to Cincinnati. What do you recommend for us?
Oh, I’m sure I could come up with a lot of things. Do you want to email me with what kind of thing you’re looking for? Are there kids? Are you looking for cheaper options? Food, etc.?
It is just my husband and I. We aren’t that familiar with the area.
Okay, I’d be happy to share some ideas of places to visit/things to do in Cincinnati. Want me to send you an email?
Please do π
Awww loved reading your answers to this, Lauren! And since I woke up to yet another fresh blanket of snow, I, too, am finally ready to unearth those sandals and summer dresses from the back of the closet π and yesβoutdoor reading counts!
Hope you enjoyed your Easter and best wishes for the week ahead! Are you an Aries?! When is your bday?
It’s May 30th, so I’m a gemini.
I think reading on the porch should definitely count–it sounds like a great activity to me! I can’t wait to wear dresses either this time of year, especially when I don’t have to wear them with tights! I have a spring birthday too π
I love these questions!
Lots of fun. I am more than ready for Spring. We keep getting some teases, and then the rain and cold weather returns. Still weather jackets and no sandals..
How fun! I live in SoCal so it’s always kind of summer/spring here. Although, I do get hit with the Spring Cleaning bug when I see everyone else talking about it. LoL
I wish I could put away the heavy coat too, but we just got 4 inches of snow this morning and more expected next week, so that’s definitely not happening! I love being able to open windows, go outside more without freezing, and definitely checking out street festivals!
Reading outside absolutely counts! Old man Winter is still hanging around, come on Spring!
This is fun! I love going to baseball games, but find it pretty boring to watch on tv.
Reading outside is one of my favorite spring activities; usually on the porch swing or the hammock. π
I could tell you which teams changed uniforms every baseball season, but I can’t tell one flower from another (tulips and roses being the possible exceptions!) I do like to see the colors come out this time of year, when I’m out on the disc golf course. So worth it to get to spring, even if there is a bunch of pollen!
I am looking forward to some nice weather to where I can sit outside and read! π I am so sad, because my daffodils finally bloomed and then we got snow last night and they’re all wilted. I should have thought to cut them and bring them inside in a vase! Oh well!

that is cute, I am def ready for spring as well, bring out the sweater weather again!!
I hear ya with breaking out the dresses and ditches the coats and jackets. And yes to reading outside!
This is such a fun post! I genuinely can’t wait for spring, it’s been raining far too much in Vancouver. I’m looking forward to all the flowers and cherry blossoms π
Reine
I am SO ready to ditch the heavy coat!
I’m so ready to ditch my winter coat π
I canβt wait to ditch the winter coat and bust out the dresses as well! Favorite part about spring!
Love the idea of reading outside on the porch! Thanks so much for linking up with us today.
What a cute list! I love Spring, (the colors, the flowers and spring cleaning makes me super happy) but the pollen here in NC can be pretty brutal at times. So for the 2-3 weeks that everything is covered in it, I try to stay indoors. I definitely canβt wait to ditch the jacket (for good)! Thanks for sharing
I broke out my dresses and then it started snowing again, hahaha. But, I’ve left them out and wore one today! (with flip-flops!) Even though it’s going to rain!
Pastels make me think of spring. I think the first thing I pull out to wear is sandals. It’s warm here now so I’ve got a pedicure scheduled for Thursday and, of course, it’s supposed to cool off after that.
This looks fun! I wanna answer question 5 here in the comments because I just wanna share that it’s sooo hot here in my country right now even though it’s only spring, not summer. I can really feel the temperature difference from January/February to this month’ s temperature. I live in a tropical country so it’s already a given that it’s hot here most of the time. More excuse to go for a swim though!
Rox | Transcendent Light ?
Hey Rox!
I get hot SO easily, so I can’t imagine living in a tropical country. Definitely a good excuse to swim though – that’s usually what I think once it gets really really hot where I live too.
-Lauren
Cool! This is neat. I cannot wait to break out my dresses too!
This is so fun! I hear you on ditching the heavy jacket, though I’ll also happily ditch my snow boots, even if it’s just swapping them for other rain-friendly boots.
Baseball boring?! I need to bring you to softball game. Those are fun! Happy spring π
Oh I love ditching my jacket at the first sign of spring too!!!
I just ditched my heavy jacket this week and I’m so happy about it, lol.
I would love for it to really be spring here so I could ditch the parka, but alas, winter will not relinquish its hold on the northeast.
I’m with you! I’m ready to ditch the winter coats. I’ve been wearing my flip flops year round, but the heavy layers of clothing need to go! π
First clothing to ditch in Spring? Definitely boots in favor of sandals!
I am a spring baby too (well, technically still winter baby, but I think of March as the beginning of spring)…. happy birthday season!
Fun questions! Itβs funny to see the answers about wearing dresses and sandals and ditching coats because here in Florida my entire wardrobe is pretty much year-round. I canβt wear sandals *all* year but at least 9 months of it. LOL
Yay for a spring birthday π I’m most looking forward to flip flops without my toes freezing. lol Hope you get to break out your dresses soon!
Ooh, what a lovely tag for the season. I’m jealous of your wet Spring. Where I live, it can just be plain hot. I’m a spring baby too! Happy early birthday π Happy April!
Q&As are always a fun way to learn more about people!
Funny I consider myself a Spring Cleaner that is too busy to get to it in spring LOL
I always put away the winter coats waaaay to early and I need a raincoat because it is very rainy here too! XD
and as far as adding… FLIP FLOPS! π
I would have picked those colors too!
