Daisy isn’t like her family. Her mom and sisters, Poppy and Rose, all have psychic powers. The only other “norm” in the family was her dad, but he disappeared and Daisy is starting to believe the rumors about him. Daisy is used to weird though, growing up in the strange town of Nightshade. All of a sudden however, her ex-friend Samantha is dressing like she’s dead and cheerleaders are starting to get deathly sick. Though she might be just a “norm”, can Daisy and her friend Ryan really stop this phenomenon? And who else can they even trust?

Dead is the New Black is a short novel packed with mystery, romance, and the paranormal. I expected something a bit different from the novel when I first began, but that soon changed as I continued…and for the better! This is definitely the start to a fun new series that might surprise a few people who think they know what it’s all about. The only complaint I had was that things could be slightly predictable. However, I highly enjoyed this novel and I can’t wait for the rest.
