A Candy Store Review + Giveaway

By: Lauren

Note: I was given candy for a review and to test out what types of things you can get on this site, but all opinions are mine. The shop are sponsoring the giveaway.

Review: For my review, I was able to pick out a variety of candy…as long as it didn’t go over $75. This is quite a deal…you can find all sorts of items for not that much! And there is definitely a wide selection of candy. Anything you want, you can most likely find at A Candy Store.

My first item for review is a 3 pound collection of chocolate covered chips. These are quite interesting, I have to admit. I was excited to check them out as sit sounds like a great idea. Chocolate and chips? Sweet and salty? Umm…yes please! I didn’t like them quite as much as I thought I would, but that’s not to say they are bad. My friend Amanda tried a few and she liked the after taste, while other friend thought they were “okay.” As for me, I was a semi-fan. They aren’t something I’d necessarily die to get again, but I would eat them if I had the chance. I suppose they aren’t as salty as I thought they would be. Overall, not too bad though.

The next candy was the Chocolate Reception Stick Candy (96pc). This would be the perfect gift for someone that works in an office and has their own desk. There are a couple flavors I haven’t tried yet. In all, there is Tangy Lemon, Spicy Cinnamon, Refreshing Mint, and Fruity Orange. I have personally tried the lemon and mint and really love the mint. It’s the green and so so good. These are some great sticks for those that like a bit of mint and chocolate. The chocolate covers most of the stick, with just the top part open to show the color and have a taste without chocolate. It’s sooo yummy and the chocolate has such a nice taste. This is just a little thing to eat on the go and I’d highly recommend!

My third pick was the 16 pack of Chocolate Mint Playing Cards. Having a card themed party? These would make excellent party favors…especially since you get 16 “cards” in one pack. Even if the theme isn’t cards, I’d still suggest these anyway as they are very yummy. If you enjoy mint patties or the like, you would probably like these. Each piece is wrapped to look like a different card in the deck and once you unwrap it you get a chocolate bar with a layer of green mint in the middle. These aren’t super hard, but they aren’t chewy like a pattie. It’s so good though and I love grabbing one randomly to mint up my breath.

And finally, I got the 48 count of Caramel Apple Pops. If you are around my age, you probably remember getting these at school. I used to get them every year on Johnny Appleseed Day in grade school and this cemented a love in my sister and me. I actually picked this for the review because my sister loved them. I even gave one to a friend and he enjoyed it as well. Of course, you have to watch out for the carmel if you want to choose the sucker…it gets stuck in your teeth easily! I love these and they would make wonderful gifts this fall for a party, around the house, or even at school!!

This sounds amazing, right? I bet you’re drooling already and ready to run over to A Candy Store to find out what other fun treats they have. And believe me, there are a TON! It was really hard to choose what I wanted for my review and I know I’ll definitely be back in the future to buy some fun items for parties, gifts, and just to have!!
