I’ll be the first to admit it, but I don’t do challenges very well. I tend to run out of time to finish them or I simply forget to keep track. However, I tried to read more graphic novels last year and I know I will continue to in 2014, so I figured it would be fun to take part in the Graphic Novel Reading Challenge.
I have a review for a graphic novel coming up, but I read it last year, so that won’t count. However, the next graphic novel I pick up to read will be the start of my challenge. I think I can do quite well with this one, but I’m going to start slow.

There are three levels, but I’m going to start at the bottom:
Modern Age: read and review 12 books during the year (that’s only 1 book a month)
I have finished the Modern Age (yay!) and now I’m moving up to-
Bronze Age: read and review 24 books during the year
What about you, though? Are you taking part in any book challenges this year? Best of luck!
This sounds like a fun challenge 🙂 My son loves graphic novels and manga.
This challenge sounds awesome! I don't read many graphic novels, but I'm planning to take part in the tbr pile challenge and series challenge this year 🙂
I don't think I've ever read a graphic novel, but I really do want to give them a try. Maybe this year I will 🙂
I will not be signing up for any because I completely fail at challenges! I forget to do things like link back to the challenge or I never read all (or any) of the books I planned. Lol! Good luck to you, though! 🙂
I did a book challenge sponsored by a blog once and succeeded, but I find that it's too much pressure.
I love graphic novels.
Welcome to the Graphic Novels & Manga Challenge! I'm sure you'll do great! Looking forward to your reviews!
I don't read very many graphic novels, but I don't think I've given them a fair chance yet. Perhaps this will be the year. Good luck with your challenge! 🙂
I have never before read a graphic novel; though they are becoming more and more prevalent on bookshelves.
xx
The only graphic novel I've ever read was "Persepolis" by Marjane Satrapi. It was amazingly good! I should try others…
I think my primary reading challenge for 2014 is going to be to through 1 book a month. I used to go through a book a WEEK, at least, but it's a little tougher with a toddler! Boo… 😉
Most libraries have nice graphic novel sections. That might help you out.
This sounds like a fabulous idea but I've read maybe like, 5 graphic novels in my entire life so I'm sure I'd fail spectacularly.
Still, I'm looking forward to your reviews.
Oh this is great! I hope you'll enjoy this challenge. I don't read graphic novels, not because I don't want to but because it's hard to get them here. Good luck 🙂
I read an occasional graphic novel, but not often enough for a challenge. Good luck!
What a fun challenge! I love a good graphic novel!
I am not going to participate in ANY reading challenges this year because I never finish them! LOL I am so easily distracted but I do live vicariously through everybody else's challenges (and grow my reading list! LOL)
Have fun!
The only challenge I ever repeat is the GoodReads challenge.
Good luck with this. My son is really getting into graphic novels himself. And enjoy!
I'm doing a different graphic novel challenge this year, but I'm so excited. I read a ton of graphic novels as it is, since I have a feature devoted to them, but any excuse to buy more is right up my alley. Good luck with it!
Me too. I've been trying to add graphic novels into my mix since last year. I wanted to recommend a good one for you, Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened… by Allie Brosh
