Buckle Up Music Festival- All Things Country

Posted July 19, 2014 by shooting in Uncategorized / 12 Comments

The Buckle Up Music Festival is owned by the same guy that does the Bunbury Music Festival, except this time, the music is all country. It takes place like Bunbury as well, covering Friday-Sunday and is located in the same spot of Cincinnati, Ohio. Buckle Up is premiering this year but I think it will do well. After all, right across the river is Kentucky! Around here, a lot of people love country music and are not afraid to dress in cowboy boots and hats whenever they see fit.

For me, I grew up on country music. I don’t listen to a ton of new country acts these days, but there are people that I still like such as Miranda Lambert and The Band Perry (who will be playing this Sunday!) Since I covered Bunbury these past few years, I signed up for media passes for both festivals (Bunbury and Buckle Up) and I was accepted for both. Therefore, I will be attending Buckle Up this weekend and bringing you some fun coverage! Since I still have Bunbury posts to go, I might mix the two festivals when it comes to vendors, foods, etc.

For now though, who out there likes country music? Share your thoughts below! And would you go to a country music festival like Buckle Up?

  1. I grew up listening to country music so I know almost all of the oldies by heart and I still do love country today, especially the more Pop Country songs (Taylor Swift, Lambert, Band Perry, Hunter Hayes). I am so excited that you will be attending this! I hope you have a fabulous time.

  2. I love to meet fellow country fans! I've always been a country girl and I always click more with that music. I find it's the one genre that's about the lyrics and the emotions, not who can scream louder or wear less clothes on stage O_O

  3. Country Western isn't my first choice in music, but I do like some of the new songs I hear on the radio. Of course, I love Patsy Kline, so I guess I'm a fan of some CW.

  4. Well country music was something I heard of many a few years ago. It's not something we hear a lot about, I guess pop and R&B are still dominant. Still I hope you'll enjoy at the festival. Great post 🙂

  5. I have everything from classical, country, rap, jazz, pop, etc. on my iPod. So I guess you could say I have eclectic musical tastes. I would definitely go to a country music festival like this. Sounds like fun and I bet there is going to be some great food! 🙂 Have fun! Looking forward to your posts!

  6. I'm more of a pop person. I do love the occasional country song though… like Taylor Swift. Maybe a little of Luke Bryan… oh, and Jewel!

    Eh, I'm more of a pop. And k-pop. 🙂
