Hey everyone, Lauren here! A lot of blogs do a version of this, so I have no idea where it originated from. At any rate, I really like these posts because you get to know the blogger a bit better, plus see what they are currently loving/wondering about.
Currently Reading: Fjord Blue by Nina Rossing. This is an M/M YA novel. I’m almost finished with it, and it’s really good so far. It takes place mostly in Norway too (where the author lives), which is awesome. I like books that take place in other countries. Review soon!
Currently Listening To: I am loving the UK band Years and Years. You seriously need to check them out. They have really catchy music, but at the same time, the lyrics say a lot and I love it. I’m hoping to see them live in May. They are opening up for Ellie Goulding, who I’ve also never seen. Anyone know this band and already listen? Some of my favorites are “Real” and “Shine.”
Currently Watching: I love this UK soap opera Hollyoaks. I’m weeks behind at the moment, but I’m trying to catch up so I can finally start watching “live” again. I’m thinking of having a weekly or bi-weekly post about the soap on my other blog, since they have a lot of LGBT+ characters. Anyone in the UK watch this show?
Currently Feeling: Excited, because I got a new job! It’s a library assistant job in an academic library, and I can’t wait to start. It’s still part time but more hours and better pay than where I currently am. Plus, it’s great experience for my future career in general!
Currently Eating: Cadbury eggs! I’m so obsessed with these things. I love that they have a version around Halloween, with green on the inside, but Easter really is the best time to get these. My sister really loves the ones with caramel in the middle. I need to try those – I haven’t yet this year! Besides Cadbury eggs, I also really love the egg shaped Reese’s. Just something about that shape makes them much more delicious!
Currently Writing: I really need to start blogging ahead again. I was doing so well! Sigh. I did start a new book though. I’m excited about the idea – just need to keep up with it and find good times to write. Sometimes it’s tough to motivate yourself. I usually get really into it as I continue and the story starts coming together more. Good luck to anyone else out there working on a book or other writing project! I understand the stress!!
Congrats on the job. I wish I had worked in a library when I was younger. I thought about applying. I need to buy some eggs.
Congratulations girl – so excited to hear that you landed a new job!
I've just finished reading my first ever graphic novel – The Walking Dead Compendium 1. Super excited to read the next!
xx
Is Hollyoaks on Netflix/Amazon?
I LOVE Cadbury Eggs! When my husband and I were dating he gave me a whole case for my birthday. That's back when I could eat like that. lol

Fun getting to see exactly what you are enjoying right now!
I love these kinds of posts. I haven't had a cadbury egg in AGES! *_* Congrats on the new job! I would love to work in a library. 😀
Yeah for the new job and for Cadbury eggs. I used to always love getting one every year in my Easter basket when I was a kid. Have a wonderful weekend.
Cadbury Eggs excite me too. I love them so much.
Cadbury eggs are my favorite part of Easter, ha ha! Good luck at your new job!
Congrats on the new job!
Cadbury eggs *drools* Congrats on the new job, that is awesome! 🙂
Congratulations Lauren!! The new job sounds wonderful. When do you start? And I love Easter chocolate. It always tastes different from regular chocolate for some strange reason. I love Red Tulip chocolate bunnies. Not sure if they have those in the US, but if you see them, stock up, They're delicious!
Congratulations on the new job!! And yes to the Cadbury eggs! Best part of Spring I say.
Congrats on your new job! Reese's Peanut Butter eggs are my absolute favorite! I definitely agree that there's something about the shape that makes them extra yummy- it's the perfect ratio of peanut butter to chocolate, lol!
Congrats on the new job!
And yeah, these are great posts to just get it all out 🙂
Congratulations on the new job! I've always wanted to work surrounded by books. Lol.
This post is great! I might've to adapt it in the future. 😀
Fjord Blue sounds good. A huge congrats to the new job! And I could really go for a Cadbury Egg now, even though it's still early in the morning. lol
Oh no, you do disappoint me, Hollyoaks is awful. Almost as bad as the filling of the creameggs though I have to say the chocolate is pretty yummy. Have you ever tried their mini eggs? Bite sized pieces of chocolate in a speckled hard candy shell – now they are delicious.
Congratulations, your new job sounds perfect.
Congratulations on your new job!!! How exciting!
I'll definitely check out that group – I love discovering 'new' music, and I love all different kinds, but love it even more if the lyrics really have meaning.
Thanks for sharing, Lauren.

I feel you on the getting ahead with blogging- it makes life sooo much easier when posts are done ahead of time but… life. It likes to get in the way. haha.
Sounds like all kinds of great things are going on right now! Awesome about the new job! I love Cadbury Mini Eggs- so I can relate to happy you are feeling about your candy. 🙂

Hurray!! Such awesome news, Lauren! I know you were hoping to find something new to challenge yourself so that is great news that you'll be getting a lot of good experience for your career!
And good luck on your new book! Maybe as motivation you could reward yourself with a Cadbury egg once you finish a chapter or a certain number word count? 🙂
Yay for your new job!!! I wish I did something in my professional life that had to do with books!! I really didn't think that through when I picked my major in college 🙁 I also agree with the egg shaped Resse's cups. They're SO much better!!!!!
Congrats on the new job!! I love those Cadbury eggs – I'm assuming you're talking about the mini ones here that are candy coated – and buy the big packets once Easter is done and all the candy goes on sale lol. I finish them in a couple days – my poor teeth! – and then always wish I had bought more!
Congrats on the job! And omg, I love Cadbury eggs. I need to get some.
Congrats on the job! And omg, I love Cadbury eggs. I need to get some.
I never knew they had Halloween cadburry eggs! I love the peanut butter and the chocolate filled ones. Not the biggest fan or caramel. Congrats on the new library job. How fun is that!
OMG, my dream job is to work in a library. That's so awesome.
Cadbury Eggs. OMG the most amazing thing! lol I always go right after easter and buy them at sale prices then freeze them so I have the Easter ones all year. So yummy!
Have you seen the Cadbury Egg COOKIES? I'm still looking for them here. Friends have them in their area though.
Congrats on the new job! I hope you enjoy it!
I love any sort of Cadbury chocolate… and Easter is my favourite time of year, cos I get to steal the kids eggs!
