Here is one of my book lover confessions…I have never listened to an audiobook. I have wanted to for a long time but I just never thought I’d have the focus to truly listen. Plus, I don’t drive so I can’t stick an audiobook on c.d. into the player or the rest of the car has to listen as well. However, the weather is starting to get nicer out and I really want to be a bit more active.
Therefore, I want to try and download some audiobooks onto my iPod, so that I can go and try listening while I walk around my neighborhood. So that’s where you all come in! Please recommend some awesome books on audio that I could check out! Hopefully it will kill two birds with one stone- I can finally listen to some audiobooks and I’ll be getting some exercise in!
Written in Red and Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop..made me an audio addict!
I really like the narrators who did the audiobooks for Awkward and Decked with Holly. Jim Dale does an amazing job with Harry Potter. I also love everything Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
Well I haven't listened to any either. o_o Apparently I can't or I would never be able to pay attention clearly… or remember it.

I'm with you girl. Only I have listened to one and it was Georgina series by Richelle Mead and it was badly done (for me) and since then I didn't even try an audiobook. Hopefully you'll find some you love 🙂
I can't concentrate on them during the day, so I usually listen to them at night in bed. I think the narrators for The Book Thief and The Lord of the Rings trilogy are great!
Anything narrated by Katherine Kellgren is gold… a couple are:
Enchanted by Alethea Kontis
Bloody Jack series by L.A. Meyer
The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place series by Maryrose Wood
The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan
Magic Marks the Spot by Caroline Carlson
And here are just a few other audios I have loved:
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
Poison Princess by Kresley Cole (and the sequel!)
Legend (series) by Marie Lu
Birthright series by Gabrielle Zevin
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
Bartimeaus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud
Heist Society by Ally Carter
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
Hope that helps!
I really like Harper Connelly mysteries. I've been listening to them lately. Also, The Maze Runner. I never would've had the patience to read that book!
I think it's best to start with something short that's not too complicated. I always suggest David Sedaris for an audiobook newbie.
I don't think I have ever listened to an Audiobook before!
xx
I don't listen to them often, but I love the Iron Druid series.
I haven't read any audiobooks either but I know one of my good friends Nereyda reads a lot of audiobooks and does reviews on them! I love her taste and she recommended Cinder by Marissa Meyer, Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, and Divergent by Veronica Roth 🙂 She told me to start by listening to your favorite books on audio so that you kind of get into the groove of the whole thing. I hope you find some good ones soon!
I've only just discovered the joy of audiobooks and I love listening to it while doing mundane things like chores and walking LOL.
Its also a great way to re-read a book! When I first started, it was suggested to me that I can try it out by listening to a book I previously read and loved and it totally worked! So I suggest the same 🙂
I really loved listening to Zombies vs. Unicorns on audio…there was a whole cast of voices, and it's all short stories, so it's easy to take breaks if you need to.
I've heard wonderful things about the HP audios, too.
I don't have any recs because I've never listened to an audiobook either!
I haven't listened to a whole audiobook either, although I've started one before. I've heard the Cinder audiobook is a great one, though, if you haven't read it yet 🙂
The Artemis Fowl series has the best narrator I've ever heard, Nathaniel Parker. And I (well, the kids, too) *loved* the books.
I don't love audiobooks but I have heard of a few that are good. World War Z is supposed to be an excellent audiobook. There is also some sort of Percy Jackson diaries one that is supposed to be neat to listen to also.
