Official Summary:
FOR ADOPTION: Adorable, energetic Jack Russell free to a loving home. Previous owner could no longer meet his needs, which include lots of exercise and attention. But those willing to give him these will be rewarded with unswerving loyalty and love…
Noelle Ryan works as a veterinary technician at a New England animal shelter, helping pets find the perfect homes. If only it were as easy to find the same thing for herself. After discovering that she can’t have children—and watching her marriage fall apart after a shocking revelation by her husband—Noelle feels as forlorn and abandoned as the strays she rescues.
She can’t seem to get over her ex, Jay. Unfortunately, all Jay wants from her is a whopper of a favor: serving as a caretaker for his elderly mother, who still blames Noelle for the breakup. While Jay heads off to Atlanta to live the life of a bachelor, Noelle is left with only her Great Dane, Zeke, to comfort her. But when a carefree musician named Jasper gives her a second chance at life—and at love—Noelle comes to realize that home is truly where the heart is.
Review:
Enjoyed the book, and it was a fast read. I didn’t want to put it down. I felt it was very realistic. The book doesn’t have to do with just the adoption of pets. It brings it to your attention though. I think it was about how home is where you make it and with whom you make it. Zeke is Noelle’s constant throughout.
I was invested in the characters, especially Noelle and Margaret. Noelle for her constant strength for all the situations she was put in. As for Margaret, I was waiting to see her soft side; to show her courage and vulnerability to be happy with herself and the people around her. It was a journey I enjoyed.
We all want to be wanted and loved, whether it be a great pet or a partner.
**Eve Marie Mont was kind enough to send my mom a copy as I thought she might like it. As you can see from above, she did! She even read the whole book in ONE day which is a huge deal for her, as she likes to read but it’s not very fast all the time. I only know of one other book she read all in one day, so that’s amazing.
Amazon Associates is just a good way to get the cover/link for you, but if you buy through it, I will get a small percentage! Thanks.

I enjoyed the book too! Noelle was frustrating at times, but she was a great character!
It sounds like such a cute book! Congrats to your mom too. Something has to be really, really good for me to read it in one day lol.
