Bella Santini in the Land of Everlasting Change

Review by Lauren

Bella Santini is a teen girl who finds herself spying on a fairy ceremony, and when caught, they bring her into their world where she faces trial for coming to the ceremony uninvited. Obviously, Bella is scared, but there is a lot more to her than she realizes and she soon finds the Land of Everlasting Change to be a place where she can fully become herself.

A List of Things that I Enjoyed About This Book –

  1. The school for fairies that Bella is placed into.
  2. Shibohna, a fairy who becomes a best friend to Bella. I loved how kind and welcoming Shibohna was.
  3. The focus on emotions and how they can lead to things like depression. It’s a good way to talk about mental health with young readers.
  4. The black and white illustrations throughout the book.
  5. Bella’s burgeoning fairy qualities, and how they differ from her fellow classmates.
  6. The other POV’s that pop up, adding mystery and suspense.

This is just the beginning of Bella’s story. More will surely be revealed in the next book, Bella Santini in the Troll War.
