A Review of London, England’s Camden Market
There are a variety of outdoor markets in London: places you go full of things to buy, eat, drink. However, a high school friend who had been to London before suggested Camden Market when they found out I would be going. I looked it up beforehand, as you do, and it looked like a fun market, so my sister and I checked it out on our trip. Like I said, there are all sorts of things to check out in outdoor markets. Some of the places are stalls; others are actual buildings…or stalls within buildings. It’s kind of like a mini town, if you will, and there is so much to see!
Browsing the various shops was a lot of fun and I ended up buying four coasters that depicted London. It’s kind of difficult to figure out what you want to get though as there are tons of options. Plus, if you’re not from London, then you have to think about packing these things in your luggage – or shipping home!
One of the main things I was excited to check out at Camden Market was all the food. I went to Chin Chin Labs, which is Europe’s first liquid nitro ice cream. As stated on their website, looking more like a science lab than an ice cream parlour, your soft scoop is frozen in front of your eyes, using billowing clouds of liquid nitrogen. This was a popular place to visit, definitely, but it’s definitely worth it. It’s so cool to see them freeze your ice cream – it really is like getting ice cream from a scientist! Plus, the ice cream itself is quite yummy, so win-win all around.
If you want to visit Camden Market, I recommend looking at the website to see what you’re interested in (especially concerning the food) because not all businesses have the same hours! If I ever get a chance to go back to London, I definitely want to check out Camden Market again – there is lots of food I still need to try!!
Wow! The Camden Market certainly has it all! That ice cream looks delicious! I am so jealous, and craving some now! I hope you get to go back, and tell us more about the amazing food there.

That ice cream looks so cool! My sister moved to Scotland last October, and we were planning to visit for Thanksgiving, but who knows if we will be able to travel by then. But I would love to visit London if we have time while we are there, I’d put Camden Market on my list to see! Thanks for sharing!
You’re very welcome – I hope you can get to Scotland soon, and visit Camden Market if you visit London.
