This is such a cute picture book that really shows how people come across when they feel different things. Here are some of the many wonderful things I enjoyed about this book.

  1. Marion experiences very typical and realistic feelings, and they occur around common events like starting a new school or making a mistake.
  2. The book is kind of told through the cat’s POV (he’s a cat with a magnifying glass) and he’s the one always asking if you can guess what Marion is feeling. Love this!
  3. I like the variety of emotions and feelings that are talked about – from joyful to nervous to disgusted.
  4. It ends with a recap of the day that Marion gives his parents, and it talks about how it’s nice to share feelings with your parents, and I love that concept.
  5. I love the bright and fun illustrations.
  6. I think it’s great the main character is a boy, because I know that boys often have more trouble allowing themselves to feel ALL the emotions.

All in all, this seems like a great book for parents, teachers, daycare workers, nannies, and more to use with the young children in their lives!
