Hello everyone! Thanks for all the kind words in September about the various subscription boxes and services I shared. I have a couple notes on some of those boxes that I want to share real quick – but after that, I finally have a list of some international subscription boxes!

Fanspirations subscription service – my review with the coupon code

I was informed by Amy from Fanspirations that some people tried to use the code in my review and it wouldn’t work. There must have been some type of glitch, but she says it’s all good now so please do think about subscribing and use the code in my review post to get money off your first month.

Letters in the Mail/Letters for Kids (link to my review). There was at least one comment on this post where someone expressed concern for what the author would write in their letter – they didn’t want it to be a fully promotional letter. Wendy, who helps with this program, left a comment and I wanted to share that here so you can all see it:

Hi! I’m the program administrator for Letters In The Mail and Letters
For Kids. Each of our author’s letters are unique and topics are
wide-ranging. We ask that authors not use the letters as a tool for
self-promotion. You can find a list of past and upcoming letter writers
at www.therumpus.net/letters or on FB www.facebook.com/RumpusLITM. Since
the goal of Letters For Kids is to promote reading, the authors will
mention a book (usually in the p.s.) so that the children can go to the
library and read it. But the letter is not about the book. To see a list
of past and upcoming letter writers and two sample letters, visit
www.therumpus.net/kids and on FB www.facebook.com/RumpusLFK. Happy
reading!

Melanie from YA Midnight Reads recently reviewed an Australian subscription called The YA Chronicles where you get a YA book and other fun goodies that fit the monthly theme. Check out her review here

There is a blog titled Australian Subscription Boxes that gives a long list of boxes available to Australia. I can’t say which boxes are based in Australia (some may have high shipping for the country) or if all of them are still active, but I thought I would share for your perusal.

I hope some of these subscription boxes are suitable for you international (non-U.S.) readers! I tried to find a variety of “topics” with the boxes so that it would fit different interests. You have your book lovers, your cat lovers, your mums, and more!

  1. You've done a fantastic job of sourcing International boxes for us all to look at – and as much as I hate to say it, the time of year where we are looking for good presents is fast approaching!

  2. A lot of people are doing these boxes, although I love samples, I feel like I shouldn't pay for those lol… also I'm a very hands on shopper. I want to see and feel it in person so maybe these boxes aren't for me. Cool option for the rest though 🙂

  3. I actually just signed up for an international subscription box, it's one that features tons of cute Japanese candies and stationery. I'm going to look into the Taste Japan box right now! I love everything that revolves around the Asian culture <3

  4. Thank you so, so much for sharing these Lauren! I had no idea there were that many Aussie boxes available and not just for books or gender specific, but pets as well! I'm stoked! Just checking one out for my little spoilt Cavalier who'd be over the moon with the doggy box. Thanks so much poppet, I would never have discovered it without you <3

  5. You have NO idea how much I needed this post! I live in Austria so subscription boxes are ALWAYS super expensive for me (mostly the shipping costs are what keep me from buying any) but thanks to you I found 2 that actually interest me and that I'd like to check out … I just spend quite some time on the "ZBox" & "My Geek Box" site and well, I might've ended up subscribing to the latter. Only for one month, you know, trying it out and all that but yeah. I'll definitely check out the other one too some other month (time travel is not really my theme) but already a huge THANK YOU! 😀
