Happy July, everyone! I hope your month is off to a good start. Done anything fun yet this Summer (or Winter, depending on where you live)?
Currently – July 2022
Enjoying: the fact that I have a pool. I know I’m very lucky in this case. It’s been really hot lately and I have definitely been trying to utilize as much pool time as I can.
Having: a great time planning some Harry Potter posts this month. I’m once again working with Maria from The Krafty Planner, so be sure to follow her! You can get an exclusive Fantastic Beasts/Bookish printable (designed by Maria) if you sign up for my new mailing list! It’s in the top right hand corner – it says Join My Mailing List. I’ll be doing another post about this soon, but I wanted to let you know about the printable now since it IS Harry Potter’s birthday month!

Hoping: that the United States becomes a better place. It’s been so disheartening to see shooting after shooting, not to mention all these laws going into effect or becoming reversed (like Roe v. Wade). The separation of Church and State is slowly eroding, and that is beyond insane to me. I don’t care what your religion is – I will fully support your right to whatever religion you want to practice. But that religion shouldn’t be governing women’s bodies, or anybody else in this country.
Picking: up the Sandman graphic novels by Neil Gaiman. The show premieres on Netflix next month, so I’m trying to read as much as I can before. I’d read a couple in the past, but it’s been years now, so I started over. I’m on volume 2 – The Doll’s House.
Using: a Barnes n Noble gift card to do some fun shopping over the weekend. Last week was rough, and what is better to relieve stress than book shopping? I’ll be sharing across my social media soon, so be sure to follow along!

It’s been very difficult to focus recently with the news from last friday… I am so glad to see you’re enjoying the little things! <3 <3 We need all the joy we can find.
It has been a rough couple of weeks with everything going on. I’m trying to stay on top of things without getting overwhelmed but it’s very hard, especially after the shootings at the parade. On the bright side, you are so very lucky to have a pool! It’s been very humid here this week and
Thanks for the shout-out! I am super excited to be joining you to celebrate Harry Potter’s Birthday this month! I’m going to be sharing some fun and FREE Harry Potter Birthday Party Themed printable decorations and games a little later in the month. Let me know if you have a request!

…and I would love a pool! I didn’t finish my sentence LOL 🙂
You had totally left me hanging! 😁 My pool’s in need of major repairs and it’s the busy season, but I have fingers crossed it’ll happen this year
I love this post format! I’m also glad I’m not the only one coming into July like “July means that July 31st will happen. And the escape is on THE 30TH.” 😁
I agree with your “hoping.”
You’ve got a pool AND a B&N gift card. You are one lucky human!
Oh to have a pool…., that would be dreamy!! Enjoy every minute you dip your toes in there:)
It’s interesting that you mention the aspect of separation of Church and State because my husband and I were just having that conversation last night. It seems that separation is getting smaller and smaller. 🙁
Celebrating the 25 year Harry Potter anniversary makes me feel old, however I do love the series, the film’s and especially love the Harry Potter Studios in London. Harry Potter is also the go to theme for buying my partner a Christmas or Birthday present and we have started reading the books to our son (he is 3).
Have a great weekend!

Happy birthday to Harry Potter! I hope you enjoy your pool. I’m envious. 🙂
Pools are seriously the best! We don’t have one, but we have many neighbors and friends who welcome us weekly 🙂 Maybe that is the best since we don’t have to maintain it! Happy July!
I’m very jealous of your pool! I wish I had one. But you know, single and living in a house I own in a neighborhood that is not one with a pool. Plus I don’t even own a swimsuit right now. Maybe by next summer. Looking forward to your Harry Potter posts as always!
Totally agree with you on Roe v. Wade. Sigh. 🙁 I wish I had a pool!!! I did get us all to the pool once this summer, we need to go again! A fun day at Barnes & Noble to look around with a gift card sounds lovely!
