New Blog Link-Up: Local Tourist

Local Tourist Blog Link-Up

I’m excited to announce that Dara from Not in Jersey and I have created a new blog link-up. Blog link-ups are where you come and share posts you’ve created that suit a certain theme – some link-ups are anything goes, others are DIY and recipes, etc.

This new link-up is called Local Tourist and you’ll be linking up any and all posts you have about things you’ve done and places you’ve seen in your basic area. For me, I live right outside Cincinnati, Ohio, so I’ll probably be sharing posts concerning that city most of the time. You can share about an event you went to, a restaurant you ate at, and pretty much anything else you can think of as long as it features the place you live. You don’t have to travel far to be a tourist; in the past few years, I’ve really enjoyed exploring where I live more and checking out local parks, museums, and more. Come celebrate what makes your hometown (or nearest cities) so awesome!

You can share as many posts as you want each month. These posts can include other things in them, as long as there is something that suits the Local Tourist theme somewhere.

Now, most importantly, Local Tourist will be every last weekday of the month (if the month ends on a Saturday or Sunday, the link-up will show up that Friday before). Therefore, the first link-up will be Wednesday, January 31. I hope you will join us and/or help spread the word! The link-up will be the same on each blog, so you can pick and choose where you want to link and don’t forget to share the image above, or a link back to our blogs, if you remember!

What do you think? Will you link up with us?

  1. I live in Col. Oh but right now we are in Fl for the winter. I have to say it is pretty cool right now but I would love ideas on what to do in Fl when it is too cold to even walk on the beach.

  2. That’s a fun idea. I’ll have to think about this because I have been posting more about my non-reading time and take a lot of pics when we go out and explore locally.

i was actually thinking of starting a whole new blog about it but this would probably be easier lol

  3. This sounds like fun! I always love playing tourist in my town, and I like any reason to do it more often. I will try to join in when I can!

  4. Local tourism is the bomb. If it isn’t freezing beyond belief, we’re going to go to a local Ice Festival that is in it’s third year and we’ve never gone. It’s the 27th this month and yeah, it sounds fun. But dang it’s cold. So if we get an oddly warm day then I feel like we should pick up and walk to three blocks to it. (Which makes it even sadder that it’s 3 blocks away and we’ve never gone. HA!)

  5. I love playing tourist in my own backyardโ€”there are so many new and fun places to explore! Thanks for sharingโ€”I may have to participate in this!!

  6. How exciting! I’m trying to work in more local events, but unfortunately I live in BFE, Florida. But there are always tons of events, festivals, activities and this would be super motivating for me to get out and explore.

Aw this is great! It’s fun to explore your own town and connect with others. I post frequently about local things to do and events, so I’d love to link up!

How fun! I am sadly lacking a lot of local tourist posts over in my world, but I want to see everybody else’s posts, because I love those kind! Why aren’t I doing any???? Maybe time to get in gear ๐Ÿ™‚
