It seems like the consensus on my earlier post is that people would enjoy a mix of things on my blog, so I’m going to share some recent crafts that I made! Let me know if you have any questions.
I’m lucky to have various arts and crafts workshops around where I live. I recently went to one where we painted Vinyl Records. You can see mine below. I’m always in the Halloween mood. The person who put on the event told me that she prepped the vinyl with this Gesso Surface Prep before we got there, in case you want to do this yourself. Just use acrylic paint and you’re good to go!
This was a fun craft, and it’s something I’d like to do again. I saw what everyone else did and there were some really good ones! I’m aways getting ideas after the fact.
Every other month I host some friends at my place for a Crafternoon. One of our last projects was painting hairbrushes. I’ve seen this trend all over TikTok and knew I had to give it a go! I bought this 2-pack of hairbrushes and painted one for myself (above) and another for my sister for her birthday. I just used acrylic paint for mine. I used paint pen markers for my sister’s, but I kind of like the look of the acrylic paint with a paintbrush (like the one I’m sharing here) because it pops a bit more. After they were dry, I used this Mod Podge Spray Acrylic Sealer.
Both of these were fun crafts, and I think they’d make a fun girl’s night get together! If you decide to try either of them, let me know!

Painting hairbrushes sounds like such a fun craft! There are so many great inspirational ideas for them online, too!
The pictures aren’t loading for me, but painting on different types of items is so fun! When I was in middle school, we once got to paint old, broken violins, and I loved it.
