Show Us Your Books: Best of 2016

Posted December 27, 2016 by shooting in Uncategorized / 25 Comments

Tuesday, December 27 is a special Show Us Your Books with Steph and Jana, where everyone is showing off their top books read in 2016!

I’m currently fighting an ear infection/fever, so I haven’t been feeling all that well. Therefore, I’m going to link to just the Goodreads pages for these books and not my own reviews. If you want my review of any of these, let me know and I’ll direct you when I’m feeling more up to it!

  1. I added and entered the GR giveaway for Adulthood is a Myth – I'll just have to run and buy it at B&N with a coupon b/c I love her!!! I have Last Seen Leaving and I still need to read it but I WILL!! And I'll get to Gemina soon!! Anyways, your list totally rocks and I love the complete diversity in genres and age ranges!!!!

I hope you're feeling better!!! Ear infections with the fever totally suck!! Booo, Hiss!!!!!

  2. I'm currently reading The Woman in Cabin 10. I don't hate it. But it's hard to figure out how you feel about a book when all the characters are unlikeable, you know?

  3. Blue Lily, Lily Blue! I'm going to end up naming one of my animals that in the future because it's so pretty. I've only read that one and Adulthood is a Myth which is basically me in a nutshell. Oh, I did read The Raven Boys too of course.

Hope you have even more 5 star books in 2017!

  4. I liked The Woman in Cabin 10, and Gemina is one I need to read SOON lol. Adulthood is a Myth looks hilarious and I think I'd love it. 🙂

  5. Oh my goodness, I have only read TWO books on your list, I fail! I read Gemina, and enjoyed it quite a bit, and I LOOOOVED The Memory Book so much! I need to read We Are the Ants, finish The Raven Cycle, Me Before You, and start Wolf by Wolf! And Timekeeper! And Last Seen Leaving! I guess I have a LOT of books to read hahah. Great choices! Hope you feel better soon!

  6. I really enjoyed Me Before You (and the follow-up After You). And I've been meaning to read The Memory Book for a while but just have not got to it yet. Sorry to hear you're under the weather, Lauren! Sure hope you feel better soon.

  7. Great list. I'm seeing We Are the Ants popping up on many people's best of 2016 list actually, which has me bumping it up my TBR for sure. I'm happy to see The Raven Cycle books on your list as well because I really loved them in 2016 too 🙂
