Subscription Box September: Babies and Kids

Posted September 22, 2014 by shooting in Uncategorized / 12 Comments

Welcome back to Subscription Box September! I know we’re nearing the end of the month, so be sure to comment below on what you type of boxes you want featured. I have one particular subscription company that I will review later this week (hint: travel) but besides that, I’m still open to ideas!

Today, I’m going to share what I have learned about some boxes for BABIES and KIDS!!

First off….the babies!

Monthly subscriptions are $29/month, 3-month is $24/month, and 6-month is $21 month (all with free shipping!)
When you sign up, you enter your child’s age to view past items that were included in these boxes. I entered my nephew’s birthday, so I was shown past items for a 2 year old. I was then able to view items for a baby, a toddler, and a preschooler.
One of the past items sent out for a two-year old was the above zoo stamp set from Melissa and Doug. Other items could possibly be food, other toys, bath products, etc.

Bluum

Monthly membership is $29.00

3 Month membership- $87.00

6 Month membership – $174.00

12 Month Annual plan is $348.00

There are also a variety of options for the type of box that you get. On their website, it’s broken down as:
  • bluum pregnancy (for expecting moms)

  • bluum baby (newborn up to 12 months)

  • bluum toddler (13 months and up).

  • Preschool box available for bluum kids up to 4 years old
You sign up by entering the child’s name (if you know it yet) and the birth date, unless they haven’t been born yet. Then you choose the gender, if you know. Obviously, the “don’t know” answers refer to a mom currently being pregnant. The company then sends you about 3-4 products a month that suit the child you have described. Also, there is always FREE SHIPPING!

Little Fun Club

For $25 a month (free shipping), you are sent three books a month that are age-appropriate for your child. The site says that these subscriptions are good for children up to age 12, and of course, if you stay subscribed, the books will advance as your child ages. I love this idea because I think it’s always a good idea to gift books to children!!
And now…the KIDS! (even though Little Fun Club goes under both)

CraftersCrate

$24 / month
$60 for a three
month subscription
$108 for a six month subscription
$210 for a
yearly subscription.

Free shipping for all!

This subscription box is suggested for kids aged 4-10 and each box comes with 3-4 crafts based on that month’s theme. The website states that you receive the following each month:

•Receive a new children’s book with activities to do as you complete your adventure

•Enjoy an adventure snack, activity packet with lots of extras, stickers and more.

Together Box

As low as $24/month, depending on the plan. If you choose just one month, it’s $30. FREE SHIPPING!

TogetherBox is all about getting the family to do things together. Each month, you receive 3-5 activities to do together, all based around a surprise theme. There is enough supplies in each box for up to five people, and you can check out past themes here.

  1. Wow, so I kind of get the impression that these subscription boxes are like a growing trend? Excuse me for being so naive. I must have been living under a rock. It's a really neat idea anyways! I wouldn't have any need for a monthly box for babies and kids, but it sounds like there are all sorts of varieties out there. I'm definitely interested in the one you mention about travel!
