The Lights on Knockbridge Lane by Roan Parrish

I love Roan Parrish. They are definitely one of my favorite authors. The Lights on Knockbridge Lane is the third in the Garnet Run series. I recommend reading them all in order so you know who everybody is, but you don’t have to. Each new book is a companion novel, so you’ll hear from previous characters and couples, but each individual book is about a new couple.
This one follows single father, Adam, and his new neighbor (slight recluse), Wes. I loved seeing Wes kind of come into his own more throughout the book. He still had anxiety about things, and I definitely understood why. That’s one thing I loved about the book is that it dealt with various aspects of mental health and I thought it was handled really well.
I read this one for Christmas in July, and it was a great choice! There were definitely some misunderstandings, etc. but nothing that lasted too long or felt overly angsty. And Adam’s daughter, Gus, was just a delight! I loved how she related so much to Wes and his diverse interests – like spiders and snakes and all things science. Plus, all the mentions of Christmas weren’t too much if you want to be like me and read this before December. I’d recommend it!
I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
