The Play That Goes Wrong
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
Over the summer, I saw The Play That Goes Wrong at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company with my mom and sister. I’d seen a college production of it the year before, so I was excited to see another adaptation. The basic plot is that a group of actors and crew members are trying to put on a murder mystery play…but everything goes wrong. Bad acting, the “murdered man” moving around, things breaking and falling apart, props going missing, and more. It’s a really fun show! It’s no longer at Cincy Shakes but if you live outside of the area and see this being performed somewhere, I would highly recommend checking it out.

As for the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, I love going there. It’s not an overly large theater so all the seats are pretty great. Plus, I find their seats to be really comfortable, which is a plus. I love that they offer different experiences. As you see above, they had a signature mocktail for the show that was super yummy. They also do Young Professional Preview Nights with cheaper tickets. Some of the shows even have an after-show Q&A, which is always interesting. If you live in or near Cincinnati, don’t sleep on this theater.
Have you been here, or even seen this play? What’s a local production you’ve been to recently and loved?

Such a fun play! I remember seeing this years ago!

This sounds like a good one!
