Twenty Years Later by Charlie Donlea

Charlie Donlea is one of my absolute favorite authors. I’ve read all his books, and this is the latest in his catalog. It’s the story of two women, essentially. One is Avery Mason, who hosts a newsmagazine show. She’s always looking for the next big story to cement her journalism career. At the same time, she has a big story of her own hidden in her past. The other woman is Victoria Ford, who has had remains from 9/11 discovered twenty years later. This is exciting news, until Avery realizes Victoria was about to be charged for murder before the attacks.

This book is full of twists and turns and secrets revealed. I had ideas about some of these, and it turned out I was correct, but even guessing some things doesn’t mean I was prepared for everything. I love that Donlea is always keeping me on my toes in his books. Personally, I think he does a great job with twists, so if you’re a mystery fan, check him out.

Twenty Years Later was a book that had me turning pages and making guesses. I loved learning new things along with Avery. By the time you get halfway through the book, it’s going to be tough to put down. So many storylines and plot points are coming together, but it’s not until the very end of the book before all is fully revealed.
