Summary:
Your path changes. Your destiny doesn’t.
Abby Barnes had a plan. The Plan. She’d go to Northwestern, major in journalism, and land a job at a national newspaper, all before she turned twenty-two. But one tiny choice—taking a drama class her senior year of high school—changed all that. Now, on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, Abby is stuck on a Hollywood movie set, miles from where she wants to be, wishing she could rewind her life. The next morning, she’s in a dorm room at Yale, with no memory of how she got there. Overnight, it’s as if her past has been rewritten.
With the help of Caitlin, her science-savvy BFF, Abby discovers that this new reality is the result of a cosmic collision of parallel universes that has Abby living an alternate version of her life. And not only that: Abby’s life changes every time her parallel self makes a new choice. Meanwhile, her parallel is living out Abby’s senior year of high school and falling for someone Abby’s never even met.
As she struggles to navigate her ever-shifting existence, forced to live out the consequences of a path she didn’t choose, Abby must let go of the Plan and learn to focus on the present, without losing sight of who she is, the boy who might just be her soul mate, and the destiny that’s finally within reach.
Why I want it:
I’ve had my eye on Parallel since last year; it sounds awesome! Part of it is set at college (I think, based on what the summary says), which I’m really excited about (seeing as how I am in college), and it is something that I would love to see more of. And parallel lives (worlds/timelines/etc.) have always fascinated me.
I can’t wait to get a copy. Less then a month to go! Bonus: the cover is sooooo pretty!

I was just thinking about starting this, you mind reader! I have it scheduled for review very soon and I need to move it already. I HAVE read the first chapter and liked it a lot so I'm very hopeful about the rest too.
This is on my wishlist too. Hope you get to read it soon!

This sounds cool! A little like Pivot Point, which I enjoyed.
Yet another book I need to add to my Goodreads. I am never going to read them all…
This sounds pretty good! I love books that touch on parallel worlds (it's always interesting), and I'm hoping this one won't disappoint. Great pick! 🙂
I actually have this one. I am hoping for a great read. Harper Teen book so far this year have been hit or miss!
Ooh, I LOVE the parallel lives theory, and this sounds like SUCH a good read! Nice WoW pick!
I like parallel universe sci-fi, but I haven't read much of it recently. This one looks like a fun take on the idea. Nice pick!
If you'd like, you can check out my WoW here.
My brain already hurts a little! For some reason I always find parallel worlds and going forward or back in time hard to understand but if this is done well it could be awesome!
Wow, such a striking cover. Not sure if I actually like it but it certainly grabbed my attention. Here's hoping you don't have to wait too long for your copy.
I really like the idea of parallel worlds but don't think I've really read about them. This does sound interesting!
I really want to read this one too-I love the publisher and parallel time lines are one of my favorite topics.
