The Blended Blog has some awesome September Monday Themed Posts. I took part in their TBB Asks last week, and today, the prompt was 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me and I thought it would be fun to take part.
To make this a bit more fun though, I’m turning this into a bit of a “game.” I’m going to share 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me below, and in the comments, I want you to tell me (you can use the number if that’s easier) which of these facts you want to know more about and then I’ll turn them into full, future blog posts! Ready?
10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me
- I have spent the night in a public library, a museum, and a convent
- I’ve attended an entire class at a college I didn’t go to
- My minor as an undergrad was Cinema Studies
- I’ve had surgery in both of my ears (two different surgeries)
- I’ve met Ed Sheeran
- I’m obsessed with musicals and my favorite is RENT. After that? Spring Awakening
- My family once drove from Kentucky to New Jersey for a music festival
- I’ve always had to wear a digital watch because I can’t tell time well
- I’ve been blurbed in various books – but not usually under my name
- I was published in I Can’t Keep My Own Secrets: Six-Word Memoirs by Teens Famous & Obscure
There you have it, 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me. Don’t forget to let me know which of these facts you want to know more information about in the comments. Plus, you’re more than welcome to use this idea in your own posts. It’s a fun way to see what your readers might want to hear about in future posts (and gives you new ideas to write about).

<3
I love “about me” type posts! It’s so fun to learn new or quirky facts about others! Number 9 sounds interesting to me!
This is great and actually provides quite some info about you. You can definitely do a post about musicals and your love from music as it seems coming from your family driving a very long road to go attend a festival. Would also love to know how you got publish ( the number 10) and the steps to reach this. Very fun post!
Yeah – I can’t choose just one of those. Explain them all lol
Also, I didn’t know YBB did weekly features other than the fun monthly one I usually do.

Ohhhhh. I love these kind of posts so much and am I allowed to quote these 10 things, because I want to know more about everything? haha. I am a bit more curious about that night spent in a library, because that sounds like the plot for a very cool book haha 🙂
This was a fun post. I am just curious as to why you can’t tell time?
Fun post! You’ve done some very interesting things.
I would love to know more about the cinema studies minor!
Pretty cool stuff to read considering this is my first read of your blog! Where did you meet Ed Sheeran? He’s supposed to be really down to earth and a lovely guy.
A night in a convent. I must know more. For some reason I picture a creepy, yet intriguing scenario, but that could just be because I’m already thinking about Halloween.
Wow I have slept at a monastery but not a convent. I’m also jealous you got to meet Ed Shereen.

Omg this was so fun to read!!Also I’m dying to know your ed sheeran story; I adore him! I hope he was as nice in person as he is in my head ? And also about the festival your parents drove to NJ to attend 🙂 what a fun prompt!
I would love to hear more about you meeting Ed Sheeran. I absolutely love him and hear he is an amazing person!
Ooh this is fun! I’d love to hear more about #1- why you stayed in those places and how it went. Also you met Ed Sheeran? Cool! And the music festival seems like it would be a fun post!
AHHH that’s so cool you were published, but I find the spending the night at a library a much more intriguing story to hear about! ?
I want to know more about #1 and #5. I’m so jealous that you’ve met Ed Sheeran!
Oh I’d love to spend the night in a library. Great list so cool about Ed!
You have a lot of secrets, Lauren! I’m envious of those nights in the library and the museum.
Great list! I’m very curious about you spending the night at a convent.
Your family is hardcore. I thought it was pretty big of me to drive from NJ to Cleveland, when my daughter won a meet and greet with Paramore, but you guys went further.
What a fun idea!! You have gotten the opportunity to do some cool stuff. I agree with whoever said you could do a blog post on each on of them!!
I’d love to know more about your favorite musicals! This is such a great, interesting list!
This is such a fun post idea! I would love to meet Ed Sheeran and I’m dying to know how and why you spent the night in a library. My dream come true! 🙂
You have done some amazing things, Lauren! I am quite curious about how you were able to attend a class at a college you were not enrolled in. Interesting.
So you really need to tell us more about the first one!

I often have trouble with numbers too. It’s a form of numerical dyslexia I believe. If someone tells me a phone number to write down, my brain often jumbles around the numbers between hearing the number and putting it on paper. The same if I’m copying a number as well. It’s something I need to check, double check and check again to make sure I have the right bill code when paying bills or I’m not calling a wrong number which happens almost every time with me. I’m absolutely intrigued about being blurbed under another name, are you moonlighting as a book critic elsewhere? The mystery! ♡♡♡
I would love to hear about your night in a public library and also the music festival trip!
OK! These are awesome things that I never would have known and I love them! A night in the library would be a dream. After seeing Night at the Museum, Im not sure I could handle it LOL .
Wow that is awesome! So jealous of you meeting Ed Sheeran lol I have definitely learned 10 news things about you
I love RENT too, and I was lucky enough to take a class to see Spring Awakening when it was still Off Broadway with Lea Michele and Jonathan Goff! Amazing!
I love RENT! The soundtrack is amazing. I’m from Kentucky so driving to NJ seems a little daunting! 😉
Such a fun post! I have always wanted to see Spring Awakening! I am always up for attending musicals and plays as well. 🙂
Oh this is so cool Lauren! How awesome about the blurbing and that you were published! And spending the night in a library sounds pretty great too! 🙂
I love RENT too!! I have seen it 4 times on Broadway and once off. Fun facts!
Amazed at where you have spent the nights and you have met Ed Sheeran! How cool? Thanks for sharing with #bloggersbest x
I love Rent! I actually quoted it recently and was thrilled when a random stranger got my reference!
I always love learning new random facts about people, they are so fun! I want to be blurbed in a book!
So fun! Visiting you from sarah frazer’s link up today. laurensparks.net
These are fun! Definitely want to hear about you meeting Ed Sheerarn!
So much fun to read these! And can I say how jealous I am about the blurbing bit, as well as meeting Ed Sheeran? Wow! I need to save this post and do one for myself. Although neither of those can I say. The closest is that I have been mentioned in the acknowledgements by authors or had a photo I took at BEA in a book about an author.
Rent is one of my faves! It was the first play I ever saw.
What a fun idea! I want to know about all of these, but I’m especially interested in 1, 2, 9 & 10. 🙂
Seriously you have an interesting life, though eyes make me squish, eek! I want to know more about the first one X #bloggersbest
Wish I had participated in this post. Fun! I feel like I am in the presence of a star…being that you have been mentioned in books and all. Kind of crazy and very rare! Interesting that you struggled some with telling time. I can’t divide. Especially when zeroes are involved!
Fun post! I spent the night at a zoo once. It was a Girl Scout thing. I’m curious to know more about the class you attended at the college you didn’t go to and also what books you’ve been blurbed in!
Aw I love this post!! At least you can wear a watch….I’m weird about having stuff around my wrists and even though my Grandparents gave me a gorgeous watch, it drives me crazy on my wrist and I only wear it a few times a year. And spending the night in those public places?! Oh my goodness, wow! Thanks for the smile today! ♥
