2023 Ohio Renaissance Festival: A Review

Thank you so much to the Ohio Renaissance Festival for allowing me to attend again this year. I went on Time Traveler’s Weekend so this starry sky dress was the perfect outfit. The festival is open every Saturday and Sunday throughout the rest of October so you still have plenty of time to attend.

Immortelle Bijouterie is a beautiful shop of even more gorgeously made dresses! This is a chandelier inside the shop.

Here is a look at one of the dresses for sale. My sister actually bought one last year!

Sprout wasn’t in when we walked by but her set up is adorable, isn’t it?

I grabbed lunch at this stand. I ended up trying something completely different this year. I got the Fig, Brie, and Prosciutto Panini and it was really good. The friend I went with grabbed the Charcuterie on a Stick which she enjoyed.

This was actually a lot of food for the price, which was nice. You could easily share this with someone!

At the same place, my friend got the Lavender Lemonade. She said the lavender taste was there more in the beginning but then it was really just like having lemonade.

I got a photo with this giant knight/guard. It made for a fun photo op. There are lots of fun places to take photos on the grounds.

We came across this cute shop that had a lot of dragon-themed 3D art. There were some other items too, but I tried to get a couple photos showing off their wares.

There are a lot of shows and performances, but one of my favorites is the Kamikaze Fireflies. It’s a duo who are funny and do cool tricks

They try to interact with the crowd as much as they can, and they usually have at least one person help out with a stunt.

They had a new stunt at the end this year – can you see the fire? This is definitely a fun show for families!

There’s an area where you can check out falcons! I grabbed a quick photo of one of them!

Beautiful shop! I loved the lanterns. Even if I don’t buy something, I do love checking out all the different stores because there are a lot of wonderful creations.

I had to check out Jack Frost, where you can get chocolate covered bananas, strawberries, and more. It was a hot day when I went so I definitely needed something sweet to cool me down.

I already knew I liked their dole whip, but this year, I went with the dole whip float, which was very yummy!

I love that there are a variety of activities at the Renaissance Fest. Above, you could do marbling on things like handkerchiefs, etc. There’s other activities to do along with all sorts of games and even rides. It’s definitely a good place for fans of all ages.

The friend I went with was actually wearing a cloak from Carrot Creations. She said it was comfortable and lightweight. While there, she ended up buying a tunic/shirt. She raves about the comfort, so I had to share!

Overall, I had a really good time. I always love attending and it’s definitely become an annual tradition. You still have time to attend so go check it out if you’re in the area.

Do you attend Renaissance Festivals where you live? Have you been to the Ohio one? What would you love the most?

  1. It looks like you had a blast Lauren! I Love the moon lamp in the one of the last shops. It was probably expensive but I would have really wanted to buy that! I haven’t been to our Renaissance Festival in such a long time…maybe next year 🙂
