30 X 30 Bucket List

It’s my birthday! I turn 28 today and in honor of that, I wanted to finally share my 30×30 Bucket List. This is a list of 30 things that I want to do before I turn 30. I have two years to check all of these off, and I already have plans for some of them, so I think I can do it!

30x30: 30 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 30 - what's on your bucket list? #bucketlist #ontheblog Click To Tweet

Honestly though, this was a bit more difficult to do than I’d thought! It’s kind of hard to think of 30 things you want to do and/or see with the realization that you have to do so in 2 years time. But I have it!

30 by 30: 30 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 30

  1. Indoor skydiving

  5. Give a 100% tip
  6. Get a literary agent
  7. See Hamilton the Musical
  8. See Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in NYC
  9. Walk in a Charity Event (definitely not going to be a runner)
  10. Get a full time job
  11. Post on Instagram every day for a whole month
  12. Go to adult summer camp
  13. Meet a celebrity at Cincinnati Comic Expo
  14. Try a new-to-me workout class
  15. Go to an FC Cincinnati Game

  18. See someone in concert that I’ve never seen before
  19. Take part in a trivia night
  20. See a Harry Potter movie live with orchestra
  21. Do an Escape Room
  22. Have a dinner party for friends
  23. Take some sort of art class
  24. Reach 5,000 followers on Twitter AND Instagram

So tell me: have you done any of these things already? Do you have your own bucket list you’re working on? There are definitely other things I’d love to do in my lifetime, but I figured they probably wouldn’t occur in the next two years!

  1. Happy Birthday Lauren!
I hope you have a fantastic birthday and awesome year ahead!
Your list is great – I love reading bucket lists πŸ™‚
Murder mystery dinners are fun and so is doing an escape room – I’m sure you will enjoy them.
Those project life albums look awesome (never tried one but I’ve seen them and they are always stunning).
Good luck with your lovely list.

  2. Oh I just said happy birthday on your other post, but I’ll say it again here lol- happy bday!! Hope you have a fabulous one! Lists like this are fun, to see what other people have for goals or just stuff they wanna do. A murder mystery dinner seems like it would be SO fun! And a literary agent- ooh I hope you do too!!

And indoor skydiving- I didn’t know that was a thing! Cool, I’m not sure outdoor skydiving would ever be my thing lol.

  3. Happy Birthday! I turn 29 in a few months and I’ve been thinking about some things I’d like to check off by 30 too. You’ve given me some great inspiration.

  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! And OOOH!! Great idea and AWESOME list! A few of these things would make my list if I were to create one… which I think I may!! I’m turning 28 in July πŸ˜€

  5. Happy birthday! I love some of these – a 100% tip isn’t something I would have thought to put on my list, but I love it! I’m definitely going to have to add that one πŸ™‚

  6. Glad I wasn’t the only one that had trouble doing something like this! Even now, I still can’t manage to find 30 things that are both realistic and something I actually care about or want to do LOL! I love your list though!!

  7. Fantastic list of goals to reach, Lauren. Doable, but still a challenge. I never thought of doing something like this. I’m afraid my next milestone birthday is nearly on me and its too high to hit that many items on a bucket list if I go with really good stuff like your list.
Wishing you well on the challenge and a fab birthday! πŸ™‚

Your bucket list is totally doable! (good luck with the agent – that’s probably one of the ones that you have least control over, ugh!) happy birthday!

  9. Happy Birthday!! Love you 30×30 bucket list!! So many great things listed. I have seen Hamilton and it’s amazing!! You will love it. Oh and Serendipity 3 so worth the wait and the money. I love it there!!

I’m actually going in November, right after Thanksgiving. I don’t have full details yet, but I’d LOVE to meet up with you!

  10. Happy Birthday! I had a 40 before 40 list but it kind of went out of date…I did a lot of the things on it, but I really like your list and want to do some of these things too! Adult summer camp sounds awesome!

  11. Happy Birthday Lauren! [I DM on twitter as well]
This is such a fun list! I don;t think I have done anything in the list but I’d love to! and I love that the list is totally feasible! I hope you go through all of it soon!
    Have a great day today!

Happy Birthday! I love reading bucket lists and revamping my own all of the time. Your list is full of great ideas! My favorite is the adult summer camp because who wouldn’t want to relive their childhood?! I hope you get through your list!

  14. Happy Birthday!!! Definitely go to Chicago in the summer time! The whole city comes alive in June and July, everything is outdoors and the weather is usually perfect! I love this whole list!

  15. Happy Birthday!!! We are the same age, yay πŸ™‚ I hope you’ll get to see all the musicals you’d like to! I’m a hopeless musical fan myself. Have a great week, celebrate and treat yourself whenever you can πŸ™‚

  16. Happy Birthday! I turn 30 next year and never though of doing a bucket list. I’ve done I think 1 thing on your list. Maybe I will make one of my own. I’ve always wanted to do an escape room.

  17. Happy birthday again! I love your list – so many awesome entertainment choices! I admit Hamilton is on my bucket list too, but I’m much closer to 40 than I am to 30. lol. I hope you are able to complete this list and I hope you have lots of fun doing it!

  18. Jen

If you have any YMCA’s, I’d look into them! They often have Women’s Wellness Weekends where you go to a camp they run and I’m DYING to go.

  19. I love this list, you have so many fun things on it!! I love the variety too, you have all kinds of different things here.

  20. What a fun list!! I totally want to do this now for my 40th! I would really love to see Dear Evan Hanson, too. I hear the snippet of a song on the radio every morning and it haunts me in the best way possible πŸ™‚

Also an escape room is in my list, too! Great list, Lauren!

  21. Happy belated birthday!! That’s a great list–I hope you get to do all of these soon!! :] There are several musicals I’d love to see too!

  22. This is such a fantastic list. I’m over 30 but still haven’t done many of these. I’ve gone to a movie alone and I’ve gotten a full time job. Sounds like I should do a list like this for things I want to do before I turn 50, lol.

    Happy Belated Birthday!

  23. Happy birthday!!! πŸ™‚

I’m already 30 but one of the things I want to do this year is find a literary agent too! That whole process overwhelms me but I really think it’s an important step for my future! I can’t wait to see you work towards your goals!

  24. Happy Birthday!! (belated, sorry!!) I hope that this year is your favorite year yet! I also turn 28 this summer, and I have been thinking about a 30×30. Maybe I’ll have to make one now! πŸ™‚ I love your list!! And I love that a PL album is on there! heheh πŸ™‚ Escape rooms are really fun, I hope that you enjoy them! Good luck with your list!!! Hope your birthday was amazing, and you’ve got some great things on your list, and I’m happy to say I’ve visited a comic book store before. (lol) I really love the 100% tip to some fortunate person. Hugs…RO

  26. Happy Birthday!!!!! Best wishes for a happy year! I think everything sounds fun, except the skydiving. You can do that without me haha.

  27. It would be a dream to see Hamilton, but very unlikely. At this point, I’d settle for a DVD of the original cast’s performance. They said they recorded it, so where is it? Escape rooms sound really fun, I’d like to do one as well. Hope you have an opportunity to check some of these off your list this year.

  28. How I love this idea!! But at 60, I would struggle for sure to find 60 things to do. One of my favs is the 100% tip. Reminds me of my waitressing days when my parents would come sit in my station and leave me a huge tip. Thank you for reminding me of that special memory.
I like the idea of creating a printable for the ole blog, too. Not sure what I would create but that could be fun.
And having a dinner party for friends would be out of my comfort zone but I think it might be fun.
Happy birthday, Lauren. Wishing you the best year yet!

OMG we’re both born in May! Happy birthday to you! ? I love meeting people who were also born in May. I also love your list! Makes me want to make my own bucket list before I turn 30. I only have 5 years left! I would like to try some of the activities on your list someday.

Happy Birthday!! I hope you had a wonderful day!! And this is the most fabulous idea ever! I use to walk in Susan B Komen – Race For the Cure. But then I got horrible at doing that once I had kids since it’s an hour away from our house. But I need to get back to that! Lots of people walked too.? And yes for a concert! I always thought my favorite was Elton John, because he puts on an amazing show. But two years ago I saw Guns N Roses and they made me cry twice. It was the most amazing three hour concert ever. Have tons of fun figuring out who you want to see! I’m going to see Luke Bryan this summer and I’m contemplating Janet Jackson, can’t wait!

  31. Happy birthday! I don’t have a bucket list, but I’ve done some of these! Kind of, at least. I’ve been to some dinner theatre things when I was younger. I also had a couple murder mystery dinner parties at my house when I was a teen, they were so much fun! We all dressed up in costumes and everything. I hope you get to do all of these πŸ™‚
