Happy Pride Month!
All month long, on my blog and social media sites, I am going to be sharing things related to LGBT+ and Pride. As someone who identifies as bisexual and demisexual, I wanted to do my part to spread the word about LGBT+ books and authors, companies, products, and more. Today I’m going to share what some bigger companies are doing to give back this Pride Month.
Big Names Give Back for Pride
Old Navy is celebrating Pride by donating $50k to the Ali Forney Center to further their mission to protect homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
Bath & Body Works is donating $150,000 to the It Gets Better Project. I definitely want to get a candle or candle holder from their Pride Collection.
If you know Bombas, they are all about giving back when people purchase. With their Pride Collection, every purchase made means you’re giving new clothing to those in the LGBTQIA+ community who need it most. You can learn more about how they are giving back on their website.
You can buy this Pride Doormat from Pottery Barn. If you buy a mat, 25% of the purchase price will directly benefit The Trevor Project.
This Pride Heart Mug is from Williams Sonoma. They will donate 50% of the purchase price of each mug to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest provider of crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ young people.
Build-A-Bear has a Pride Collection! Any purchase from it will go to the Build-A-Bear Foundation to support LGBTQ+ organizations.

I know some people find it annoying that big brands or companies show their support for LGBT+ people only when it’s Pride Month, and I completely understand that. At the same time, I do appreciate that they at least donate and give back during June instead of never doing anything at all.
I’d love to know if you’re going to buy from any of the businesses above! I have a lot more companies – big and small – to share about this month. I’ll even be doing a prize pack giveaway with items from some of these places so keep following along!
I think it’s important they do show support. And some show support all year, which is even better!
I knew Target has an awesome Pride collection, or a few collections, but I didn’t know about these other companies. I love that not only are they supporting Pride month but they are also giving back. Plus, how cute is that mug?
I saw Lilly Pulitzer is donating 25k to It Gets Better! They have a Pride sweater and hat too 🙂
I think it’s gotten a little commercial in the sense that some companies slap a rainbow on things and call it a day – rather than year-round support but it’s always great when a company is willing to do extra and show more support instead of the money grab.

I think that this is a step in the right direction but hope to see big companies doing more throughout the year.

I hope that someday we will live in a world where we don’t need special months to recognize various groups but that they will be recognized and remembered all year through. That will be the day!!
In the meantime, I love the products you shared. Especially those adorable socks and the very cute mug. I need a new mug…that might be just the one. All of mine have chips around the rims and I dribble coffee all over me with every sip!
