Official Summary: As a single dad, Matthew Carroll didn’t always have someone to share in his frequent laughter and incredulity at the various things his daughter, Morgan, said. Hoping to document some of her best commentary, Carroll took to recording her choicest quotes on his iPhone when she was between the ages of three and five. He then compiled them chronologically in a small homemade volume for friends and family who, compelled by the hilarious and touching content, encouraged him to share it with a larger audience.
Review: This little book is so adorable! It would make the perfect stocking stuffer for anyone you know who has a young child. As we all know, “kids say the darndest things!” and I love reading about them because they just crack me up! This book is easily read in one sitting, as each page is a small quote from Morgan. Above the quote, Matthew has given the day and time that these things were said – which is kind of cool and it shows you how Morgan is aging. If the quote needs context, Matthew mentions that under the date. These say things like “during nap time” or “while watching (XYZ) movie…” and then you understand a bit more about why Morgan is saying certain things.

If you know young kids, they say crazy things, but sometimes they say things that are just really inspiring and wise. This book gives you both of these type of quotes, and I loved them all. As for the funnier quotes, some of them really did have me laughing out loud!
