It’s the third Thursday of the month, and that means it’s time for Keep It Together, which I co-host with the lovely Alexandra. Link up any posts on planning, scrapbooks, Project Life, memory keeping, etc. We’d love to have you!
Entertainment Bullet Journal
One of my Keep It Together posts last year was about my Entertainment Bullet Journal. I’m not super artistic, so it’s nothing fancy, but I wanted a way to keep track of entertainment type of endeavors – monthly playlists, books I read that month, movies I saw, etc. I thought I’d share some of those pages today and talk about what I hope to do with my Entertainment Bujo this year!
Entertainment Bullet Journal: A Look Back at 2018 #bujo #ontheblog Share on XHere is a page from March 2018. As you can see, I have a list of movies I wanted to see that month. I checked off the only one I ended up seeing which was Love, Simon. I also included a quote from one of the other movies I saw that month – Dunkirk. On the other page I have my March playlist. So far in 2019, I haven’t written out movies I want to see that month, because I’m not that great at keeping up with my Bujo in real time. I often have to go back and write down the books I read (I have them all on Goodreads) and I keep a running list online of my playlist. This might be something I add for certain months, but we’ll have to see.
I definitely plan on keeping the playlists because I love music and it’s fun to see what I was enjoying each month. I’m also keeping the movie quotes. I actually want to include more of them this year. I might even go back and add some in for 2018 where I have room though.
Here is my books read for April 2018. This was a particularly good month, with 13 books read. This is still how I list out the books I’ve read in a month. I try and use stickers or other little doodles to help brighten it up and add some fun to it. I wish I could draw better though, because some people have amazing bujo spreads. I have quotes from books I read on some of the pages too, but I definitely want to include more of those this year. I need to remember to keep track of quotes that I enjoy while I’m reading! It’s harder to get quotes after the fact.
And finally, here is my December 2018 playlist. I didn’t include many quotes from songs in 2018 but that’s something I want to change this year. There are always lines from songs that I love so it would be nice to include that along with the full playlist.
As you can see, I definitely want to keep up with quotes this year: movies, books, and songs. I’m a big fan of quotes and it just adds a little something to the pages. I’m nowhere close to finishing my Bujo, so I’m continuing on in the same one. I’ll share some of my 2019 pages soon – maybe next month!

A bullet journal looks like something that I could certainly use in my life! I have a horrible memory and I could keep track of things better with a bullet journal.
I love this idea, and I know I’ve said it before but it makes sense to bujo things like this to me. Bujoing my whole planner was just a lot of WORK! LOL. I looove that Ellie Goulding song! 🙂 I love to do quotes from books for sure. I want to start adding some quotes to my planner too. I’ve had some weeks/days where I’ve scribbled until it was a huge mess and I’m thinking… I could have put a quote there. LOL XO – Alexandra
Simply Alexandra: My Favorite Things
That’s pretty smart! I’m constantly forgetting which movies and shows I want to start watching. I have an app on my phone to keep lists, but I forget to add them there!
Very fun way to keep track of your entertainment goals and done lists!
I keep three different journals and love all your ideas. Stress reliever for me.
I really like the idea of tracking playlists 🙂
I was doing this last year for entertainment stuff too! I liked tracking the books I read and the movies I’d watched! I kind of fell off of it though and this is encouraging me to pick it back up again!
I think this is such a good idea! I do this for my books, but not entertainment in general but I like that you include music, movies, etc. I’d like to do a better job expanding my music horizons and this would be a good way to track that.
That’s a good idea — I’ve never thought of recording quotes from books & movies in my BuJo to go along with the lists I’ve created!
Such a neat idea! I wish I had the time. I do need to be better about keeping track of the movies I want to see. Love the idea of movie quotes for sure!
I love this!! 🙂
Nice to have it broken down by month 🙂 I have just ongoing lists in my regular planner.
I have a bullet journal but I use it more like a to-do list. I love the idea of keeping track of my entertainment that way. It’s nice to look back and remember films you watched and music you enjoyed. I love quotes too, I really must start collecting them properly.
Interesting. Yeah
This is really cool, but I am so behind on movies and music. I have a list I want to see, but that might have to wait until the summer when it is a million degrees and we stay inside!
Very cool. I love the idea of keeping lists of movies you want to watch, etc. I always see trailers for movies that look so good but then by the time, they come out I’ve forgotten about them unless they are super hyped in the media.
