Happy New Year!
I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done a post. I didn’t mean to just disappear on all of you, though hopefully you follow me somewhere on social media and realized I was still posting elsewhere. I do want to get back into the groove of blogging this year though. I don’t want it to be too stressful, however, so I’m thinking I need to focus on these two things:
- Schedule ahead, schedule ahead!
- Focus on only posting once or twice a week
I’m on a computer almost all day at work, so it’s been tough to come home and want to be on a computer again. Posting on social media is a little easier because it’s on my phone and doesn’t typically take as long. I use my actual laptop for blog posts though.
However, it would also be nice to know what types of posts you really like to see, so I can try and prioritize those.
- Book Reviews
- Author Interviews/Guest Posts
- Local Tourist – where I talk about things I’ve done where I live
- Crafting posts – show off some fun crafts and DIY things I’ve been working on
- Top Ten Tuesday posts
- Discussion posts
Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
And tell me, what are you trying to focus on the most this year when it comes to blogging?
Happy new Year!
I think I’m just trying to be consistent this year. Oh, and review more lol. I think my reviews were at an all time low in 2023! I think I like reviews, local tourist and discussion posts the most, but anything really. Hope your 2024 is off to a great start!
I’d most like to see reviews, the top ten lists, and crafting posts. Happy New Year!
OMG – if I stay a blogger in some capacity for another year I’ll be happy lol
I like all your posts but, I guess because I’m reading less, I like the personal ones more.
I love your local tourist and crafting posts. And also reviews! I am trying to cut back to not every day. Last year was only one post a day, this year I’m trying to be okay with not posting every day and doing more actual reading. I follow you over on TikTok and see you there a lot!
Welcome back! I’m also attempting to return to blogging and I think you’re right that scheduling posts and limiting how many posts you try and do a week is the way forward. Book reviews are always a nice post to have as they’re easy enough to write up when time is limited. I love the idea of craft posts as well. More time-consuming but always fun to see.
