Happy New Year! First off, I’m hosting a giveaway for your choice of January 2022 book. Be sure to enter! Now it’s time for the first Currently of the year.
Anticipating: the Spiderman movie. I know people that have seen it multiple times and I have yet to see it once. I’m hoping to go this weekend if all works out! It sounds absolutely amazing.
Organizing: my new planner (more on that below) and Christmas gifts I need to find a spot for (especially all the new books).
Reading: I just finished The Twelve Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss. There’s a new book club meeting this weekend and that was the first book choice. It was cute! A bit slow, but I liked it overall. I’ll definitely be that person who keeps reading holiday books through the Winter.
Resolving: Speaking of books, I am once again resolving to read more of the ones that I already own. I’m not saying I’ll stop buying books, but I want to focus less on review copies and more on titles already chilling on my shelves. Some books I’ve had for YEARS, and it’s about time I paid them more attention.
Scheduling: Not a whole lot, but I am setting up my 2022 planner. It’s Harry Potter themed and I’m in love! You can check out my Harry Potter planner post.
I’d like to make a focus of books I already own, too!
Love the look of your journal
Wishing you a great year of reading!
I am all for reading Holiday books whenever feels right! Enjoy them all whenever you’re in the mood!
I’ve heard great things about the new Spiderman tonight — I hope you enjoy it! One of my favorite things about the new year is new planners. Happy 2022!
I don’t buy a lot of books but I do get books from publishers and I am way behind on reading them!
I’ve really keen to see Spiderman once I get a chance as well!
I’m also trying to read more of the books I already own this year. I think I’m fed up of always seeing so many unread books on my shelves. I still want to buy books but I think because I missed out on reading so many new releases the past couple of years with my various reading slumps I want to focus more on older books. That might change as the year progresses.
I’m also trying to read books I have on my virtual shelf (my kindle is full of books I always unintentionally ignore), and I am sure I’ll buy some books this year too, LOL!
I’d really like to read more from my existing physical pile. I only have 50-ish and I thought it would be easy to clear them out but nope lol

Wishing you a great year of reading, also trying to read books I already own. Good luck!
Reading more from my own shelves is always a goal for me. It’s easy to get distracted by all the new releases but I get so happy reading books from my shelves that I’ve been excited to read for so long!
I loved Twelve Dates. The dates were so much fun
Currently reading Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover and I’m loving it!
I’m trying to read some books on my personal TBR as well. I’d like to get it down to zero books this year, which I think is doable.
Happy new year! 🙂 I am also hoping to make more progress on the books that I own this year. I’m currently reading Edge Case by YZ Chin and enjoying it so far.
I read The Twelve Dates of Christmas and enjoyed it, my book club read her new one Season for Second Chances and I LOVED it! Definitely check it out if you enjoyed Twelve Dates. I think I liked this one even more,
Love your planner! I also want to see the new Spiderman movie, though I kind of also still need to watch the last Spiderman first *oops*
The new Spider-man movie is awesome – happy watching!
I’m yet to watch the new Spiderman movie too, but it sounds great! Good idea about reading books you already own. I’m sure I have quite a few at home that are due for a read/re-read. Happy New Year!
Happy 2022! I love your planner. bought a bullet journal for my daughter this year and she is LOVING it!
Organizing a planner is so satisfying, isn’t it?? Enjoy –
Reading more of the books on my shelves is something I should resolve to too. So many unread things. But my reading goals for 2022 contain a few of them.
Enoy the movie when you get to see it. I haven’t yet either.
My daughter went by herself to see the Spiderman movie and said that she enjoyed it a lot. I kind of love setting up a planner for the new year. I also really want to focus more on what’s on my shelf and less on review copies this year.
Your planner is lovely!
I actually re-read an old book I book many years ago earlier this month. Thoroughly enjoyed it all over again!
book I *bought*
Love that new planner <3 Hope all is well- saw you're a little quiet on here this week!
I’m trying to read more of the books I own as well. Your new planner is really cool!
Happy new year! I heard awesome things about the Spiderman movie but haven’t had a chance to go watch yet. (Hoping for cases to go down before I do — hope it’s still in theaters by then :'( ).
Love your planner!! I need to go uppdate mine!
As a librarian you would think I would automatically go to the library first before buying books. But I am so afraid I will rack up overdue fines that I spend money buying books to avoid paying fines on books. Makes no sense!!
