When I review a book, I often like to find a product that I feel fits the book
in some way…and I call that feature Make it a Gift, so you can buy the book
and the product and give them to someone together! Sometimes, though, I
come across a book I have NOT read, but it still makes me think of a
product and I feel like I should share it with you anyway…in case you have
read this book or want to buy a copy for someone.
Another Make it a Gift post where I hadn’t read the novel yet: Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson
Dark Kiss by Michelle Rowen
Smart, uber-careful, ordinary Samantha – that’s me. But I just couldn’t pass up a surprise kiss from my number-one unattainable crush. A kiss that did something to me – something strange. Now I feel hungry all the time, but not for food. It’s like part of me is missing – and I don’t know if I can get it back.
Then there’s Bishop. At first I thought he was just a street kid, but the secrets he’s keeping are as intense as his unearthly blue eyes. If he’s what I think he is, he may be the only one who can help me. But something terrifying is closing in, and the one chance Bishop and I have to stop it means losing everything I ever wanted and embracing the darkness inside me.
Bath and Body Works has a whole line of products titled Dark Kiss. I’ve been meaning to share this post for awhile now, ever since I saw Dark Kiss in the store and remembered the above novel. I don’t own any of the products, but I believe they smelt good in the store. I think any item from this line would make a wonderful gift along with the book.
That’s around 16 bucks (plus Bath and Body works shipping, unless in-store has a deal) for a wonderful gift. I’m sure many of you have gift giving opportunities coming up, like I do, so hopefully someone will take advantage of this. I know it’s something I wouldn’t mind getting, since I really do want to read the novel!
I haven't been to Bath & Body Works in ages! I like how you paired the book and gift. Neat idea for the holidays or birthday's.
Oooh I agree with Karen, great gift idea!
Oh I love this gift idea! I'm putting posts together for My Favorite Things event in June and while I haven't read this book yet, I do like the gift idea a lot!
Oh great idea. I have read the book and I have the lotion. I would have never thought to put them together.
This sounds like a fabulous combo, and the book is in my TBR! Thanks! 🙂
What a neat idea! I love giving books as gifts and love the idea of pairing it with another item.
I've heard great things about Rowen's books.
Thanks for sharing!
This is a great idea! I'm always on the lookout to give something with my books as gifts, so I'm glad you posted this!
Fun idea. The book sounds great. X
Ooh, this is such a fantastic idea for a Gift Basket – I love it! 🙂
That's a fantastic idea to match a book with another product.
I hate it when I see something I really like and then I have trouble with international shipping. I could spend three paychecks at B&BW, but yeah, then I'd have to pay customs.
I love that they have the same name, though!
Hey, what a perfect match! Seriously. I've actually never been in Bath and Body Works before, but I'm thinking I should check it out now!
Great mix and match – I love this idea which is perfect for my sister-in-law who loves to read in the bath.
