My Personally HUGE Giveaway + Pay it Forward for GLSEN

So you may have heard about the Monopoly giveaway. For the first time ever (or that I know of) all the fake money is becoming REAL. That’s a little more than 20,000 dollars. People had to enter their story…no more than 75 words of why they would like to win the money. Now it’s voting time. For the next 20 days, people can register on the site and vote for the story they want…one time each day, I believe.
The top 75 will be decided through votes and after that…well it comes down to one winner who gets all the money.
My story is about my mom who has a kidney disease. I’d love to donate money to a charity on behalf of her and others who are fighting…as there is no cure. You can read my story at the following link and it’s posted under ShootingStars. If the link doesn’t work, let me know.
Now, I’m sure many of you would vote for me out of the goodness of your hearts…but I do want to give back a little bit. Let’s say I actually WIN this money and can donate to charity and help my mom’s medical bills a bit, etc. etc…then I’ll give one of YOU a $100 gift certificate to wherever you want. This will come directly from me and not the money I win, as I really would be FLOORED if I happened to win.
However…I know that’s a long shot, but just getting into the top 75 is a great shot and that’s my first goal. So if I reach that point, you get a $15 gift card to the retailer of your choice (as long as I can purchase this online or near me.)
Each time you vote for me…leave one comment. If you get someone else to vote for me and they are NOT entering this giveaway, leave another comment for yourself. For example: You have a sibling enter as well.
Please spread the word. This would honestly mean a lot to me and my family. I know I had people vote for me in the past for something…I didn’t win but I really appreciated everyone’s help and I hope we can show Hasbro just how great bloggers are this time!!

If you want to do something else though, I’d love to have you on board. Post this button on your blog, put it in a post, or hold your OWN giveaway. If you do, remember…this is in honor of Catherine Ryan Hyde and her new book Jumpstart the World out this October. She also wrote Pay it Forward (hence the name). Auctions will be held to raise money for GLSEN, but to spread the word about that and further support Catherine, we want you all to host a giveaway of your own. Don’t make it last too long, as we want the winner of your giveaway (or anyone else who wishes to help) to host their OWN giveaway…hence Pay it Forward…and so on and so forth. All giveaways for this should end by October 9 though as the auctions start a couple days later and we want people to be ready and able to start bidding and to perhaps even buy Jumpstart the World!!!

    I love your idea for the money and truly hope you win! I admire how supportive you are of your mom and all your energy is going to keep her fighting.
