Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (the movie!)
Out: Now
Review by: Lauren
Norah is in love with Nick, but she doesn’t know it…all she has are the mix tapes he sends his ex-girlfriend Triss, who Norah hates.
Nick is totally in love with Triss, but his friends want him to move on.
In one night…Norah kisses Nick, Nick’s friends stick the two together, and Triss decides she can’t let Norah get Nick, who she never really loved.
One night in New York City. What could go wrong…what could go right?
I have yet to read the book this movie was based on, though I have been meaning too and I swear I will. However, the film was fabolous. I think Michael Cera was great and I loved the crazy chemistry him and Kat Dennings have in the film. Norah’s friend, Caroline, who is played by Ari Graynor did a great job and added a lot of the movie’s humor (lets just say…no more gum!)
I definitely would recommend, though be aware that this isn’t a film to take your younger siblings or smaller children too!
Now, in honor of my seeing Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist on October 4, 2008…I decided to share ALL the songs on a playlist that I personally made on October 4, 2006.
Enjoy!

Yikes–I must be really out of it. The only names I recognize are 3 Days Grace and Silverchair! 🙂 This looks cute but I’ll probably wait to rent it.
Trish: Some of them are quite small, and CTH is more of a local band starting to get big…so no worries really if you don’t recognize many of the names! 🙂
Definitely rent it, I would say. It is a sweet film.

What a great movie, you must read the book! I’m listening to the soundtrack right now 😀
Alea: I’ve been meaning too, and I hope it’s sometime soon. It sounds amazing! 🙂

You should definitely read the book soon! The movie was great but Rachel Cohn and David Levithian are so brilliant that it doesn’t do the book justice.
pepsivanilla: Thanks for letting me know. Books are almost always better then their movie counterparts. 🙂

there were some awkward moments in this movie that were hard to get past… such as every time that gum was passed around (yuck!)
I’m glad to hear that you liked the movie. I’ve really been wanting to see it. Maybe one afternoon this week. 🙂
