Linking up with Anne for Currently and Kristen for What’s New With You
Picking: out Christmas gifts for people in my life, and I can help you too if you need ideas. Let me be your personal holiday shopper!
Preparing: a Christmas planner! I should be sharing pictures for this month’s Keep It Together link up (third Thursday of the month so November 21!!)
Trying: to eat healthier. Does anyone have any easy, healthy recipes? I’m gluten-free too so that limits things as well.
Feeling: excited about my cat, Charlie. After losing my dog a month ago, I’ve been wanting another pet in the house and this past Sunday, I adopted four year old Charlie. He’s such a snuggle bug and it’s been lovely coming home to him!
Following: the Christmas movie schedule for Hallmark and Lifetime. I’ve watched a couple already and I have some others taped. I just love these movies!
What’s new with you this month?
Aw! Charlie is adorable! And cuddles! Who doesn’t love that when you come home!
Your cat is so beautiful. I love the idea of you being a personal shopper, and looking forward to the Christmas Planner. Speaking of gifts, I saw the perfect one for you just yesterday!(lol) Hugs, RO
Oh my goodness, I reallyyyyyyy need to start working on Holiday gifts!
So great that you got a new cat! I think as far as gluten free healthy recipes, you can look for recipes with cauliflower!
Congrats on Charlie! He looks adorable!
Congrats on the new furry friend! So cute!!!
I am so excited for Christmas movies too. 🙂
Ooh I love your header! Somehow I didn’t notice that before, but it’s looking fab. And I’m all about the buddha bowl type stuff lately – super easy to do GF, since they’ve got quinoa or rice as a base. And a great way to eat TONS of veggies, as you can just roast whatever you have on hand. My other go-to for light and easy and healthy is fritattas. How fun to have a new kitty around to snuggle, just in time for winter 🙂
Thanks for the ideas, Anne! I’ll have to look into some recipes. And yes, the header was made by Kelly from Diva Book Nerd. I love it so much!!
I second the Buddha Bowl craze… We make bowls at least once/week–and even though we’re not GF, the bowls always are, come to think of it! Tonight’s is a Korean beef bowl from The Pretty Dish; last week’s was a traditional poke bowl. Easiest, though, is any veggies from the crisper drawer + any grain/noodle + protein (egg is easiest!) + a simple sauce
I’ll have to look into some recipes, thank you!
Yay! Welcome to the family, Charlie!!! I love coming home to their sweet furry faces 🙂 So much Christmas going on in your life! I love it!
So sorry to be hearing about your loss. Its wonderful that you have adopted Charlie though … it seems to me there are more people wanting kittens so whilst not old its good that this puss has found a home.
Too early to be thinking of the C word just yet and yet (YIKES!!!) its just around the corner.
Yes, I think most people think kittens when they want to adopt but slightly older cats are great too!
Love the new kitty! So cute!! Hope November goes perfectly for you!
I love your new kitty! He reminds me of my Pippin girl! I am just so ready for Christmas stuff already too. That is so not like me but I’m all in this year!
Aww, welcome home Charlie! Blue got a 4 year old cat (Keebler) after her dog passed as well. I wish he were a snuggler, but he’s more like “Love me when I want it and then byeeeee” haha! Looking forward to seeing your Christmas planner 🙂
haah Keebler sounds like a lot of cats that way!!
You’re doing Christmas? I’m still taking down the Fourth of July flags. Does that tell you anything about me?
Congrats on Charlie. It’s wonderful you gave him a home, and I’m sure he appreciates it.
Congrats on Charlie! He looks like a nice cat. 🙂 And have fun with the Christmas movies! There’s something comforting about them.
It would be awesome to spend an entire day watching Christmas movies. In fact, it’s a long weekend here in Canada, so I might just do that. 🙂
I love picking out gifts for others as well and look forward to working on my Christmas list 😉
Sorry to hear you lost a pet, but congratulations and bringing in a new member! Charlie looks adorable! I have a few healthy recipes. I’ll have to remember to send them on over to you. 🙂
Yes, please on the recipes!!
Sorry to hear you lost your furbaby Lauren, I dread the day our little guy is no longer with us, I don’t know how I’ll survive. Charlie sounds like a wonderful new companion and helping mend that broken heart. Really looking forward to seeing your planner!
I’m sorry to hear that you lost your dog. I know losing a pet is really hard, they’re like family. So great you adopted Charlie though, he is adorable!
Aww, Congrats on the new furbaby!! Having a pet around is so special!
I’m with you on the trying to eat healthier. My husband and I eat out a lot so that makes choosing well a little trickier. But it can be done. Thnaksgiving is going to be a challenge! 🙂
Charlie is adorable! I am so happy you found another pet to welcome to your family!
Healthy? It’s the holidays for the next 2 months, right? I am trying too! 🙂
I love eating healthy. My favorite thing to eat are colorful salads, the more and brighter colors the better 🙂
Your cat is so cute! I hope he brings you a lot of happiness. I am always watching the Hallmark weekly movie, so you know I am excited about the flood of Christmas films coming my way
I’m trying to start Christmas early too. I actually wanted to start it sooner than that so that I didn’t have to scramble plus shell out so much money at once. BUT here we are! DOH!
Also, I’m eating pretty healthy too for gut reasons. My family is grumbling at that. HAHA!
haha you sound like my hubby he ADORES hallmark Christmas movies. If it was it for him he’d watch them all year. 🙂 Can’t wait to see pic of your planner I love those 🙂
Charlie is so cute!
My go-to healthy meals in winter are soup and curries. Just shove all the vegetables into a pan, add herbs/spices and either water (soup) or tomatoes (curry) and a healthy, comforting meal is born.
Charlie looks like a sweetheart!
I’ve been holiday shopping like crazy – it feels neverending LOL
That’s so fun that you’re trying out a personal shopper business! Good luck with it! It’s a helpful reminder I should really get on starting my holiday shopping…
I need to start planning for Christmas ASAP! I try to have all my shopping done before Thanksgiving because that’s when I go to Maine to see my side of the family. We’re keeping things very low-key this year, so it shouldn’t be too rough 🙂 Have a wonderful November!
I hope things go well for you in the month ahead and that your new cat starts to feel settled soon 🙂 That is very exciting! And it seems the Christmas feels are coming home with you now. I love this time of year. I also hope you will be able to do well with the eating healthier!
YES to following the Hallmark Christmas schedule! Me too, I love all the Christmas-y movies. 🙂
Welcome Charlie!! he’s gorgeous!
I’ve watched a few of the movies. I used to watch every single one but there are so many now it would be a 24/7 job lol

Charlie is adorable! Congratulations on getting him! I have got to start eating healthy again myself. I was doing really well, and then I got sick at the beginning of October, and all that went away. And now with Thanksgiving it’s almost like why bother? Oh well. Good luck to you!
Love that you adopted an older cat! We have been having problems with our 2 cats.. our 9 year old one is starting to have kidney problems and my 13 year old cat has diabetes! 🙁

OMG Charlie is so cute!! I’m so glad you’ve opened your heart to another fur baby and also super glad you adopted an adult! Adult kitties aren’t adopted as often as kittens, which is so sad because they have just as much joy to bring into our lives. I hope he is giving you lots of love and cuddles x Give him a pat from me!
Ahh Charlie looks adorable <3 <3
I love holiday movies! I can’t wait to get watching in the next week or two!
Congrats on the new kitty! I’m glad your Charlie is a snuggle bug. I have one cat who loves the cuddles and one who barely tolerates humans, lol.
