I’m linking up with Anne at In Residence for her monthly Currently Link-Up!
Happy October! I love this time of the year. Favorite month is October. Favorite season is Fall. Favorite holiday is Halloween. It’s quite different these days because of COVID, but I’m doing what I can to enjoy my favorite time of the year. What about you?
Admiring: The leaves turning! It’s officially Fall and I love all the orange and red leaves. It’s definitely a beautiful sight to see.
Going: to some outdoor events. I’m trying to do as much as I can that takes place outdoors – as that’s safer than anything inside – before it gets way too cold to enjoy it. I posted about a couple things I did in September in my Local Tourist post. I hope to have a few things to share by the end of October! Are you able to enjoy any outdoor events?
Making: Christmas gift lists. I’m trying to get all my Christmas gifts together as early as I can so I don’t have to worry about anything last minute. Plus, it allows me to spend here and there and not all at once. I’m keeping a list of all the people I want to give to and adding what I’ve purchased next to their name. Right now, I have my nieces and nephew finished (and most likely my sister, unless I add a little something), and I have some gifts for a lot of other people too (though I’m not quite finished with them yet).
Scheduling: Lots of giveaways! I’ve been joining giveaway hops and hosting some other ones on Instagram. It’s a fun way to give back and I enjoy putting together prize packs and giveaway ideas. Right now you can enter a few:
A Fine Quotation Vegan Leather Bookmark (U.S.) or $5 PayPal (International) – Giveaway ends on October 20 (this is also a giveaway hop so you have a lot of other prizes to possibly win too!)
Modern Spooky Prize Pack (U.S.) – Giveaway ends on October 15 (again, this is a giveaway hop!)
A copy of Man Up by Kim Oclon (U.S.) in honor of Solidarity Week – Giveaway ends on October 16, and it’s over on Instagram.
Wishing: That we could be pass the election with some good results. And yes, that means Biden/Harris being the winners. I need change – good change – and something to hope for when it comes to this country and the wellbeing of its people. I’m scared about rights being taken away – my rights, since I’m a woman and part of the LGBT+ community. It’s not just about me though, and I wish more people felt that way too. We’re supposed to look out for each other, and I think Biden and Harris will do that.
