What I want this post to be about is revealing the two books you plan on reading! And based on some of your comments, you CAN use your own personal collection instead of going to the library! Whatever works!
Feel free to share the books you plan on reading up until Christmas Day. By that point, it’s pretty close to the link-ups so you might as well wait if you plan on taking part.
Remember, first review goes up New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) and the second review goes up New Year’s Day (Jan 1st). And again, check out the post that explains all!
At the moment, Mr. Linky isn’t working well for me, so if you want to make a post about the books you have chosen to read, just link up in the comments and I’ll manually add them to this post so people can check it out! If you know of some other link system I can use, let me know!
Now…my book choices!
New Year’s Eve Book:
Level 26: Dark Origins by Anthony Zuiker
Official Summary: Law enforcement personnel categorize murderers on a scale of twenty-five levels
of evil-from the naive opportunists starting out at Level 1 to the organized,
premeditated torture murderers who inhabit Level 25. But to an elite unnamed
investigations group assigned to hunt down the world’s most dangerous killers,
headed by Steve Dark, a new category of killer is being defined….

New Year’s Day Book:
The Long Quiche Goodbye by Avery Aames.
Official Summary: Welcome to the grand opening of Fromagerie Bessette. Or as it’s more commonly
known by the residents of small- town Providence, Ohio-the Cheese Shop.
Proprietor Charlotte Bessette has prepared a delightful sampling of bold Cabot
Clothbound Cheddar, delicious tortes of Stilton and Mascarpone, and a taste of
Sauvignon Blanc-but someone else has decided to make a little crime of passion
the “piece de resistance.” Right outside the shop Charlotte finds a body, the
victim stabbed to death with one of her prized olive-wood handled knives.

What I find hilarious about the books I ended up pulling is that they are both mystery novels! They are also the first book in a series. I like that the New Year’s Eve (for ending) sounds a bit darker than the New Year’s Day (for beginning) novel, which seems more of a cozy mystery.
Now, it’s your turn! Link up (or just post in the comments) the two books you plan to read!
Sounds like a fun event, but I am actually planning on taking the week off between Christmas and New Years as I need a break! Good luck with your challenge!
I have no idea what books I'll pick for my holiday reads but I love light hearted/fun reads. Chick-lits are always good picks, too!
Haha! The Long Quiche Goodbye is such a fab title!!
xx
I will have to check out the post to see what the event is all about 🙂 sounds great!
Fun! I will be reading several books leading up to Christmas. Right now I'm reading the Marked Men series by Jay Crownover.
Fun idea! Although I never can read at those days, too much to do around the house hehe
Ooh I'm loving this idea! It sounds like a great way to stay organized and stuff but I seriously need to decide what I want to be reading when the holidays come (it'll probably end up just being whatever) but I also like how one book's darker than the other I feel like it's a great way to set yourself up for the new year.
The Long Quiche Goodbye is a great title.
Sound like good reads!
What a fun event! Your picks sound cool, hope you enjoy them!
These mystery novels sound perfect to pick up during the Christmas break! I especially like the sound of The Long Quiche Goodbye! I look forward to reading your reviews! 🙂
These sound fun.
I'd like to read The Book Thief and The Magicians this holiday season. I set them aside and hope to read them.
This sounds like a lot of fun. I'm sure your New Year's Eve will be mysterious. Good luck 🙂
Ooh, sounds like fun! I do love a good mystery… Level 26 sounds awesome. 🙂
I'm still debating what books to read during that week. I have a few January ARCs I'm dying to read but I also want to start the Vampire Academy so I think I'll read that too. Hopefully I can fit everything in! Enjoy your event!
