Hey friends! Sorry I’ve been MIA this week. I came down with a bacterial upper respiratory infection. I’m slowly but surely feeling better, and I’m just glad it’s not Covid (which I did get tested for!) I was supposed to have a book review up earlier this week for a blog tour, but I’m still reading, so that will go out next week. However, I wanted to share something today so I’m going to do a new feature. If you like it, I’ll do it here and there!
Besides my blog, I’m on a lot of social media websites. I know that not everyone has these accounts, or you might not follow me there, so I thought I’d share some recent posts! Feel free to give me a follow though, if you like!
TikTok Time!
First up, I have a video I made for all the millennials who watched the message from Steve of Blue’s Clues. I’m working on my whole lip synching skills! It’s tough!

Next, I have a Bookish Confession to share. Anyone else??

Of course, I have many other videos and I’m trying to keep up with posting, so again, follow me if you’re on there, or just go visit!
Instagram Exam!
Give me a follow on Instagram if you wish
Here’s a message outside a local bookstore-

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my first Social Shares. Let me know if you like this kind of post, and I will keep doing them. I might even share some posts from other people too!
I don’t do TikTok (or really any video type thing. I’m just now trying to figure out IG stories lol but cute!
Glad you’re having fun with it and sharing it with us here.

I haven’t jumped into TikTok. But I do have an Instagram account, so I’ll look you up and follow!
I don’t do TikTok or video-y anything really (I feel like I’m super awkward on camera, haha), but yay for instagram! :] I’m following you but the algorithm is weird and I never see your posts! I liked several of them–hopefully the algorithm will correct itself!
What a fun idea to highlight what you’ve posted on social media and also share the book love. I#m not really one for TikTok… or I am but not booktok which probably makes me weird. Instagram has been all over the place with what it shows on my feed lately, though, so you’re definitely smart to share those. It’s too easy to miss posts now.
I probably should get TikTok, but I spend all day on social media for work and in my off time, I hide from it. I did watch Steve’s video though. We needed that 🙂
Sorry you were unwell, but whew! glad it wasn’t Covid. That’s scary.
I’m not on Tik Tok, but always love seeing you the ‘gram. I hate that you haven’t been feeling well, and glad to hear that you’re on the med. Sending some healing hugs, RO
This is fun! I’m on Instagram but have been terrible about updating… and Tiktok I haven’t taken the plunge yet. 🙂
Hope you’re feeling better!
I have really moved away from all things Facebook with the exception of using it to host my book club. And I am losing interest in Instagram, too. Not losing interest but just can’t find time to go through all of that. You do so well to write blog posts, book reviews, TikTok whatevers…posts?, IG posts. Clearly, balancing all of that is easier when you are young!! Hope you are soon back to 100%. That lung business is no bueno.
This is a really fun idea, I love it! Also I cannot believe you read physical books in the pool! I would be so scared hahah. I read in the bathtub though, with my waterproof Kindle! The bookstore sign is accurate too!
Fun feature, Lauren! I’m rarely on social media so it’s fun to be able to see what you’ve shared. 🙂
I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been ill but I’m glad you’re on the mend. I haven’t tried tik tok yet, but definitely follow you on IG even though I haven’t had much time for social media lately.
I haven’t managed to make the jump over to Tik Tok, and I’m not sure if I will. These are the social media things that just make me feel old. LOL!
This is actually, fun and creative and an excellent way to express yourself 🙂 http://www.bauchlefashion.com/2021/09/the-corduroy-2021-shopping-guide-where.html
I hope you get better soon! I don’t use TikTok or Instagram, but this is a great idea for a post, and your videos and pictures are fun!
Ugh … A bacterial respiratory infection, you have my sympathy. At least I suppose that unlike a viral infection they can treat it with anti-biotics.
Sounds like your having fun with all these Social Media sites, I must say Tik Tok seems to becoming hugely popular with so called book influencers.
Sorry you haven’t been feeling well!! I can’t get myself to download the TikTok app. I feel very old. Haha. But I do enjoy being a consumer of TikToks when people upload them to Instagram! I always thought I was so hip being on top of social media stuff, but I think I aged significantly when SnapChat and TikTok came out. Haha.
Lauren, HIIIIII!!!! How are you, love? So nice to see you on here, but I’m so sorry to hear you have been feeling under the weather 🙁 I hope you are back to your old self in no time. Also look at how cute you are on TikTok!
OHMYGOD, I STARTED THIS COMMENT SO MANY MOONS AGO AND NEVER HIT SEND. OMG, let me get caught up on your blog. I’ve missed your face!
