The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas
This is the first book I’ve read by Thomas, but it won’t be the last. It is definitely The Hunger Games meets Percy Jackson. I loved the trans representation, especially with the main character, Teo. I thought the world was fascinating and I loved the diversity. I do think the book was a bit slow to start, but it gets better as you go, and I cannot wait for book two. This is a duology, so if you aren’t a big fan of book series, I’d still recommend you check this out.
Sunbearer Trials ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, and it had a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming at all. It made me a bit mad/sad, but I think it works and I can’t wait to learn more.
This is one I need to read for the Gateway committee I’m on. Glad to hear you liked it, makes me look forward to when I get to it on my TBR!
This sounds fantastic! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Definitely one for the Wish List, this sounds like a great read.
This one’s been on my list because of a “if you like the Hunger Games, you’ll like this” recommendation but I haven’t had the chance to read it yet! Hopefully soon! :]
I read Cemetery Boys by them and really liked it. Good to know about the cliffhanger ahead of time lol

I hate to admit that I have had this book on my shelf for a long time. That may not be a bad thing since it ends on a cliffhanger though.
