June 18: Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019
Apparently I’ve chosen 10 books that come out in August and September, though I’m sure there are many other 2019 books I want to read. Do you want to read any of these? What books are you still looking forward to this year?

- #Murderfunding by Gretchen McNeil (August 6, 2019)
- Swipe Right for Murder by Derek Milman (August 6, 2019)
- Silent Night, Deadly Night by Vicki Delany (August 27, 2019)
- Pumpkinheads (a graphic novel) by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks (August 27, 2019)
- The Killer You Know by S. R. Masters (August 30, 2019)
- The Chestnut Man by SĆøren Sveistrup (September 3, 2019)
- His Hideous Heart (Anthology) by Dahlia Adler (September 10, 2019)
- Suggested Reading by Dave Connis (September 17, 2019)
- Tilly and the Bookwanderers (September 18, 2019)
Yes! I so can’t wait for Pumpkinheads and Swipe Right for Murder.
I am so heading to Goodreads to add a few of these for Fall reading now. So, thanks so much for sharing with me!! š
Ooh the Swipe Right for Murder book looks really good! Great list. I am going to check out a few more of the too!
Ooh, Pumpkinheads sounds good.
My TTT.
Oh Ziggy – that’s such an awesome cover and title!
I’ve recently stumbled across The Chestnut Man and am super excited for it now. Great list!
Where have I been? I think I may have only heard of Pumpkinheads from this list and it does appear to be sweet. I will definitely look into Suggested Reading though.
Silent Night, Deadly Night looks cute!
Ziggy, Stardust and Me sounds wonderful! I’ll be on the look-out for that one.
I am so bad at lists. I usually have to many (with books always too many) or not enough. I do think you picked some interesting books in your list! I will have to check out several. You have caught my curiosity. š
I haven’t even looked to the fall yet because I’m so out of hand from April-June!! I can’t keep up, which I guess is a good thing for authors! (Not so much my wallet or time)
His Hideous Heart sounds right up my alley. I hope we both end up enjoying!
I haven’t looked too far ahead but Ninth House has me curious and The Queen of Nothing is the one I really want to read.
Karen @ For What It’s Worth
I hope that you enjoy these books!
Ooh #murderfunding- I’m assuming that’s a sequel to #murdertrending! I didn’t know about that! Cool.
Yes, it’s a sequel and I cannot wait!
Ziggy Stardust and Me sounds really good. I love books that take place around historical events and coming of age novels are kind of my favorite!
Swipe Right for Murder is high on my list this summer as well. I hope that you love all of these books that you are excited for. I see some that I need to add to my TBR as well. š
Swipe Right for Murder looks awesome- adding to my TBR!
Swipe Right for Murder looks and sounds so thrilling and I need to get it!
I keep eyeing Ziggy, Stardust and Me. It sounds so good and I just love the cover.
Swipe Right for Murder looks promising and I’ve enjoyed Gretchen McNeil in the past. Hope they’re all winners, Lauren. š
Oooh *rubs hands in glee* you have some lovely thrillers on here! I am looking forward to reading your reviews!!
I never know when books are being released until a) a day or two before they are or b) right after they are. Lol. I wish I was more on top of it, although I’d still never get to them right in time. Haha!
Pumpkinheads is on my list too (or would be if I had created one lol)! I’m looking forward to Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson and Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi as well!
I hadn’t heard of any of these books before, but I’ve heard great things about Gretchen McNeil. I hope you enjoy these books!
I love how your list has such variety on it! I feel like a bad bookworm though as I haven’t heard of them… š
I am so excited for #murderfunding. Gretchen McNeil is a favorite author of mine. Great list!
Guess August and September are just amazing months for book releases š I just added Swipe Right For Murder to my TBR, so thanks for the rec!
I can’t wait to read Swipe Right For Murder!
Lauren @ Always Me
Great list! I’m super excited about Pumpkinheads, as I’ve enjoyed books from both of the authors who collaborated on it, and Suggested Reading is on my tbr as well. I always get excited about books that are about books, haha.
His Hideous Harts looks really interesting!
You had me at Ziggy Stardust. I absolutely love the sound of that one Lauren, I love the queerness and it’d wonderful seeing a Native American main character within young adult. I love characters like Web and Jonathon, they’re representative of those who have paved the way for sexual and gender equality and rights. I think young queer readers will be able to take a lot from this one and the work LGBT advocates have tirelessly worked for their community. Absolutely cannot wait to grab a copy!
