June 18: Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2019

Apparently I’ve chosen 10 books that come out in August and September, though I’m sure there are many other 2019 books I want to read. Do you want to read any of these? What books are you still looking forward to this year?

  3. Swipe Right for Murder by Derek Milman (August 6, 2019)
  4. Silent Night, Deadly Night by Vicki Delany (August 27, 2019)
  5. Pumpkinheads (a graphic novel) by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks (August 27, 2019)
  6. The Killer You Know by S. R. Masters (August 30, 2019)

Where have I been? I think I may have only heard of Pumpkinheads from this list and it does appear to be sweet. I will definitely look into Suggested Reading though.

  1. I haven’t even looked to the fall yet because I’m so out of hand from April-June!! I can’t keep up, which I guess is a good thing for authors! (Not so much my wallet or time)

  2. Ziggy Stardust and Me sounds really good. I love books that take place around historical events and coming of age novels are kind of my favorite!

  3. Swipe Right for Murder is high on my list this summer as well. I hope that you love all of these books that you are excited for. I see some that I need to add to my TBR as well. šŸ™‚

  4. Swipe Right for Murder looks promising and I’ve enjoyed Gretchen McNeil in the past. Hope they’re all winners, Lauren. šŸ™‚

  5. I never know when books are being released until a) a day or two before they are or b) right after they are. Lol. I wish I was more on top of it, although I’d still never get to them right in time. Haha!

  6. Pumpkinheads is on my list too (or would be if I had created one lol)! I’m looking forward to Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson and Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi as well!

  7. You had me at Ziggy Stardust. I absolutely love the sound of that one Lauren, I love the queerness and it’d wonderful seeing a Native American main character within young adult. I love characters like Web and Jonathon, they’re representative of those who have paved the way for sexual and gender equality and rights. I think young queer readers will be able to take a lot from this one and the work LGBT advocates have tirelessly worked for their community. Absolutely cannot wait to grab a copy!
