USA Network Round-Up

The USA Network contains some of my favorite shows – Psych, Royal Pains, and now Common Law! However, they have plenty of other shows that I enjoy (yet seem unable to keep up with them) like Burn Notice and Covert Affairs.

Political Animals: Sundays on USA Network (10-11 p.m. ET)

USA even has a special show on right now called Political Animals, which I must admit I haven’t watched. It does look really interesting, though, so I hope some of you have been catching it. I wanted to share that the show has their Tumblr though and you should definitely give it a look! I love Tumblr. I’ve been slacking on it a bit lately, but if you want to see my own personal Tumblr, go ahead! I would love Psych or even Common Law to have their own Tumblr page…they would have some really amusing gifs, I’m sure.

Here is what you can expect from Royal Pains and Common Law this week (my two personal faves this season on USA)-

Wednesday, August 1 – ROYAL PAINS – “Manimal” – 9/8c – episode directed by Mark Feuerstein with a special guest appearance by Harvey Feuerstein (his father) – How cool is that?! Go Mark and his dad!
Hank (Mark Feuerstein) and Divya (Reshma Shetty) treat a Large Animal Veterinarian going through a bitter divorce while Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and Paige (Brooke D’Orsay) help a close friend reeling from an unexpected loss. Meanwhile, in hosting a clandestine international summit at Shadow Pond, Boris (Campbell Scott) must accommodate one of the power players when he falls ill.

Friday, August 3 – COMMON LAW – “Hot for Teacher” – 10/9c- Kole and Ealy have such great chemistry…you have to watch this show!

Wes (Warren Kole) makes the mistake of confiding in Travis (Michael Ealy) that he’s been having erotic dreams of Dr. Ryan (Sonya Walger). The admission quickly takes a back seat to the fact that her fiancé may know more than he’s letting on about a dead body that’s been discovered at his construction site.

  1. Common Law is about these two cops (Wes and Travis) that are partners. Something happened (we are supposed to find out in the season finale, I believe) and they were sent to Couple's Counseling to learn to better get along. It's fun. Mystery, humor, some couple's counseling moments that are pretty amusing at times.

  2. I really like Political Animals (and if you like the other USA shows, I bet you'll like this one too) and Common Law but my heart still belongs first and foremost to Michael Weston and his Burn Notice family as well as the cast of White Collar.

  3. I don't watch USA Network too often but my cousin really loves this network! I remember her being really excited for Common Law.

  4. Royal Pains! We watched that for awhile but don't have any cable anymore. I should see if it's on Netflix. But a new season! I can't wait until I can watch it! I haven't watched Common Law…

  5. We like watching Royal Pains too, although it can get a bit formulaic at times, it's very interesting and set in a gorgeous location.

Thanks for mentioning Common Law, sounds like a new show we might like!
