It’s time for July’s Currently and What’s New With You with Anne and Kristen
Reading: I’m always reading something. I just finished City of Ghosts by V.E. Schwab which I loved (it’s an MG book with a sequel coming out in a few months!)
Enjoying: The fact that I don’t have to work tomorrow, July 4th. I already don’t work Fridays, so a four day weekend for me sounds really nice!
Finding: A really fun Bridal Shower gift idea. It’s not completely DIY, so I think I can pull it off. Plus, it’s really cute, so I think I might do this for a friend’s shower coming up. Pinterest is always full of fun ideas, isn’t it?
Saving: Well, I’m trying to save more money, because there are definitely a lot of events coming up that I’d love to attend (musicals/plays, adult summer camp, etc.)
Tasting: S’mores with gluten free graham crackers. This was on my summer bucket list, and I’ve already eaten two of them. So yummy!
Currently: July 2019 (+ Huge Book Giveaway) #ontheblog #currently Click To TweetWho Doesn’t Want to Win Books?
I wanted to let you know, in case you missed my previous post, that I’m giving away 12 books to 1 winner (a “year’s worth of books”) in honor of my 12 year blogoversary next month. I’ll be doing other giveaways with fellow bloggers, so bookmark the link because I have a linky on the same post where I’ll put the other giveaways as they go live.
Wow!! 12 years is such a huge accomplishment! Congrats!!
I LOVE that bridal shower gift idea!! I think that it will be something that will be appreciated so much. Thanks for sharing it. 🙂
Yay, for having off work for the holiday!
I love the bridal shower gift idea! It cute and sweet and thoughtful 🙂 Enjoy your day off, Lauren!
I’d love to have every Friday off – you are so lucky! Enjoy your 4 day weekend.
Hooray for a 4 day weekend! Enjoy!
I want to go to adult summer camp! ?
Congrats on your blogiversary!
Always good to have a catch-up.
Well done on 12 years, here’s to the next 12. I somehow totally forgot the fact that my blog celebrated 10 years this April.
That bridal gift is adorable! Great idea! I’m looking forward to a four day weekend, too! Yay!!
I’ve got to work on saving so much! I’ve got a book convention coming in August, and even though I have two people I’m sharing the room with, I still am putting it on my credit card, so just figuring out how to make sure I have enough money on there. And s’mores, yummy!
I love that bridal shower gift idea! I’ll have to keep that in mind for an upcoming wedding I have. S’mores are so good, they’re one of my favorite summer treats!
I love that bridal shower gift idea – certainly looks doable! And gluten free graham crackers? Did you make them yourself or did you find them somewhere? Always looking for new gluten free foods!
I found them at the grocery store. My story is Kroger, but I’m sure you could look it up and see the closest store to you.
Oh my gosh I love s’mores. Although sometimes I just skip right to the chocolate lol! And 5 day weekends are the best!!
12 years is amazing! Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your time off this weekend. I really want a S’more now!
Mmm, I love s’mores. I’m also glad to hear you loved City of Ghosts. I still need to read that one.
Hapy 12 year blogiversary. Thats amazing! Yay for no work. Happy 4th!
Now I’m totally craving s’mores! YUM! Happy 4th <3

I had no idea City of Ghosts was a middle grade novel, I’m really excited to read that one now. I’ve been really enjoying middle grace even more so lately, just so many wonderful new releases. I love the bridal gift idea and it’s something you can create for any occasion.
S’mores – yes! Even better that you don’t have to work on Fridays! Way to kick off the weekend for sure! Hugs, RO
S’mores are soooo yummy, they’re a summer must! Congrats on your 12 year blog-iversary 🙂
Wow I didn’t know you could get gluten free graham crackers! I mean I’m not sure why I would, since I don’t live in the US, but that’s a huge win for us gluten free folks! I’d love to try making s’mores one day. Congrats on the blogiversary and enjoy your long weekend!
ooh i haven’t read city of ghosts, i’ll have to check it out, i’ve enjoyed her other books.
Yay, hope you enjoyed the 4-day weekend. There’s some ideal reading time! And s’mores eating time. I had one at the beginning of the summer for the first time in a long time, and it was sooooo good.
What a cute gift that would be! Pinterest does have so much beautiful stuff and great ideas. Yum, s’mores! I haven’t had a s’more in so long.
I have yet to have s’mores this summer! Isn’t that terrible? I’ve never had gluten free graham crackers, but that is awesome you can get something like that at the store.

Mmmm S’mores. I could eat something like that right about now.
I’m trying to have a super frugal (but fun) summer so that I can do lots of fun things in October and at Christmas so I’m with you on the saving!
Happy 12 years! THAT is absolutely AMAZING!
Hope you enjoyed the 4-day holiday weekend earlier this month!
That bridal shower gift is a neat idea. First time I’ve seen something like that.
