My blogoversary month is coming to an end and today, I’m back with my final Top 11 post. This time, I’m sharing my Top 11 Favorite books. This one was really difficult, and there are definitely more books that I would consider favorites, but this is a good start. I’m also doing a fun mermaid themed giveaway below, so read on!
11 Favorite Books for a 11th Blogoversary + Giveaway Prize Packs #ontheblog #giveaway #ontheblog #bookbloggers Share on X- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling: I love all the Harry Potter books, but if I had to choose one of them it would always be the third!Β
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky: I used to re-read this book every single year, and I found myself understanding and relating to more each time. I highly recommend!Β
- Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk: This author has some of the craziest books, but Survivor is one I’d recommend to most and I even have an autographed copy (though I’ve never met the author).Β
- About a Boy by Nick Hornby: Nick Hornby is a great author, but About a Boy is by far my favorite. The movie is one of my favorite films too!Β
- Ballads of Suburbia by Stephanie Kuehnert: This is the second book by this author but it’s by far my favorite. If you love Perks of Being a Wallflower (and even if you don’t or haven’t read it), read this one!Β
- Dark Places by Gillian Flynn: Most people equate Flynn with Gone Girl, but I’ve been reading her since her debut and Dark Places (her second novel) is still my favorite.Β
- I Am the Cheese by Robert Cormier: This is such an intriguing little novel. It’s categorized as YA, but adults would love it too. It makes you think for sure!Β
- Carry the Ocean by Heidi Cullinan: This is an m/m romance with so much heart and emotion. It’s more than just the romance too.Β
- Peter Darling by Austin Chant: Peter is really a transgender Wendy, who falls in love with Hook. Um, yes please!Β
- The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton: I’ve loved this book (and the movie) since I first read it in the 8th grade. It’s such a beautiful look at friends as family.Β
- Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck: I read this book for the first time in the 7th grade because my sister was in 9th grade and was assigned it, so I read it just for fun. It’s one classic that I really love – great character study.Β
Are any of these you favorites? Do you plan to read any of them?

Harry Potter, The Outsiders and Of Mice and Men are classics for sure! Some of these I haven’t heard before so I’ll have to check them out!
Happy 11 years! I would choose the top package featuring The Mermaid by Christina Henry because this is a must read book for me. Thank you for the chance!
I think PoA is my fave HP book too. And Peter Darling was great! I know I loved The Outsiders in middle school, but I can’t remember it now ? I haven’t read all the others, but they sound great! And ooh, yay, mermaids!!!

Yay for 11 years- how awesome! I’ve only read the first HP but Azkaban does seem to be a popular choice as a favorite, from what I’ve seen. And I love the Outsiders movie (although I haven’t read the book)!
Gillian Flynn is on my list of authors to try.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one that I really need to read one of these days! I have heard so many great things. Congrats on 11 years! π
I think The Outsiders is the first book I ever really loved. I have such found memories of that one. Thank you so much for the giveaway! I think if I had to choose, I’d go with The Surface Breaks. That cover is amazing. Happy blogiversary!

11 years is just so awesome! I’ve only read a few of the books you mentioned, but I would love to read a few more…especially Dark Places and I am the Cheese. Entered you contest too!
The Prisoner of Azkaban was definitely my favorite of the series too! I also really liked The Outsiders too! (+ if you’ve ever read That Was Then, This is Now by the same author, that was a good one too. <3)
Thanks for the giveaway! I love the second one!
Congrats again for sticking with bloggimg for 11 years, that is crazy commitment! I loved Dark Places too, it’s my favorite Gillian Flynn novel. My favorite harry potter novel is the goblet of fire, but it seems like the prisoner of azkban is a favorite for a lot of readers!

Happy Blogoversary!!! <3
The Outsiders brings such a feeling of nostalgia. I remember first reading it in the early 80βs, just before the movie came out. I was sucked right into the world of greasers and Socβs – and the movie was such a good adaptation
Cheers to 11 years! Amazing! I will throw some love in for The Outsiders and Perks. Both phenomenal books.
Congratulations on 11 years of your blog Lauren! I really love the 1st prize pack. Continued success and best wishes!
I’d be happy with both but my first choice is the first prize set. Thanks.
